Newbie's questions / Re: Handling Stake Limits
« on: January 09, 2017, 09:58:56 PM »
A lot of bookies tell you the maximum stake before you place the bet - either a "max stake" button (B365 etc) or if you type 111111 or any large number and place the bet - check both side before placing either bet

Thank you very much, that actually sounds like very sound advice. One extremely newbie question however.... Is there a way in which they can still make me commit to any large number? Say I type in 9.999.999 (or some other big number), will they in any way be able to actually let me do the wager, provided I don't have the balance (Lol, I wish)? This must sound like the stupidest question in the history of questions....

No - you can never make a bet larger than your available balance

You rate only karma. You could rate also the funniest post or user. And post top 5-10 on the first page. Maybe also to give a reward to the funniest guy of the year. I think djomola would win 2016

He gave up though :D

OK guys, I forwarded your requests to our developers.

Would love it if you could separate prematch / live threads into categories as sometimes i get confused reading something solely based on pre-match thinking is a "live" thread. All the best!

I m afraid this requests a lot of effort and time from me and discipline from the members. I will see what I can do. Maybe separate everything in 2 boards.

Even with 2 boards people will still post in the wrong place and you'll have to move a fair amount of posts - especially at first

Arbing and trading talk / Re: Captain's log 2016

Just thinking, although a lot of conventional things around the EU are looking bleak at this time, what are the chances that Trump will open the doors to massive deregulation in the US?

Imagine him giving the go ahead for new and existing US sportsbooks to start operating on a national level there, the potential of such an action would be unmeasurable. If there was ever a time for it to happen it would be now.

Wouldn't be surprised - he's a very successful businessman and will know just how much the potential income in taxes there will be - it would work there - especially if there is a caveat when a percentage of the income is put back into sports

Thank you for your insight  :)

Still no answers to my questions.

Anyone willing to help?

Probably not without a little effort on your part - 95% of what you need to know has already been discussed many times - the rest you will work out for yourself with experience

Good read

I have to agree with ilovethisforum that I'm surprised that there is not a new kid on the block to challenge Neteller and Skrill but I suppose if they already have a domineering wedge of the market they have power and that means that those who regulate such markets probably have their own interests to consider and will make things very difficult for a new company - I suggested a few months ago that people should try and use bank cards as much as possible - not only safer than an ewallet but charge free - the only downside IMO is the slightly longer wait for withdrawals before you can recycle the cash

Personally I had a better year than last mainly due to devoting a little more time to arbing - I didn't make a fortune but it paid for two nice holidays and a new car coming in a couple of weeks ans well as boosting my value of bonds a little :)

As with all things, to be successful means putting in time and effort and research and evolving pays dividend

Have a good 2017 guys
