Arbing and trading talk / Useful bit of kit
« on: August 14, 2016, 09:13:12 AM »

Found this very useful - I use a PC for arbing so it slows me down a lot to be switching from the mouse to keyboard when placing bets

Now I use the mouse with my right hand and the little keypad with my left - speeds things up a bit for me - it could do with a tab key but apart from that it's great

EDIT: - found one with a tab key
Rest Area / New football season
« on: August 13, 2016, 03:01:29 PM »
Well boys & girls - the new season is two minutes away and as a United fan and suffered 3 years of total shite I'm actually looking forward to the new Premier season

For a bit of fun state your favourite team and your chances of winning something this year

Man Utd - great new manager - a couple of world class signings in Pog and Ibra and everything looks rosy - we will finish top 2 in the Premier and win the Europa Cup - I'll be happy with that as long as we play entertaining football again :)

Any experience of the site?
Bookies discussion / 10 bet limits
« on: April 28, 2016, 09:11:53 PM »
I've been checking a few of my old limited accounts and discovered 10 bet have increased my normal £30-50 stake limit to thousands :D

e.g. Watford @ 1.71 v Aston Villa - max bet is £5640
Norwich @11.25 away to the Arse - max bet £371 :P

Maybe they did a reset :)

Check your account - can't imagine it's just me :)
Bookies discussion / Anyone using

This was an Asian Specialist bookmaker, founded more than a decade ago, who have recently changed focus to the UK market. They have a history of many generous promotions and bonuses.  and are regulated by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. They have average limits but certainly competitive.  The odds are as you would expect very good in most markets but quick to change in UK Horse Racing. There is 24/7 customer support via live chat, email and phone. Email customer support is very slow to respond. Payouts take around two days on average. Note that depositing using Moneybookers or Neteller does not qualify for the bonus. (June 2013)

Rated 7.3 on that site

Review is nearly 2 years old so looking for more up to date feedback
Bookies discussion / Seaniemac

Opened a new account - placed ONE £20 bet (arb) at 2.06 and all other bets (£10-£20) refused due to their "internal risk management"

Then got an email after the open bet had started and was told that the bet was a palp and will be settled at 1.83 instead of 2.06 - ended up losing money because the bet on the Seaniemac side won and I didn't even get the free bet

Clone/same database as Boylesports so if you had a Boyles account then don't bother with this lot
Arbing and trading talk / Sometimes being a careless muppet works out
« on: December 12, 2013, 03:55:36 PM »
OK - so I lost on the Gala-Juve game yesterday because Pinny cancelled their side of the arb - meh! - shit happens  :-\

Today I had a bet on an 8/1 horse winner and when I check Betfair the other side of the arb was not there - no idea why - I'm pretty certain in what I'm doing now because I made a few mistakes when I started out - maybe it was a technical error at Betfair? - I always set up both arbs and then click on the bets in quick succession so not entirely convinced I made a mistake

So made 8 times more than I lost yesterday through being careless (or whatever reason)  ;D

Not bragging but showing that sometimes life throws up a nice little bonus when you don't expect it :)

Merry Christmas
Arbing and trading talk / Which bookies to use the odd stake?
« on: April 21, 2013, 01:55:05 PM »
Obviously Betfair, Betdaq and Pinnacle can be used to place the odd stake of an arb but does anyone know of any others you can safely place non round figures without getting restricted or closed?

Been forced to use Expekt for odd stakes paired with Marathon for the round stakes - mainly because they are shysters who pretty much limit you to odds on bets without (usually) reviewing your bet and wouldn't be that much of a loss if they close my account

It's a bit frustrating when you see a great value arb between two bookies that you really only want to stake whole numbers with to avoid being flagged as an arber
