A few newbie questions

Tue Jul 30, 2013 3:53 am

Hi Guys,

I recently moved to Thailand with my girlfriend and looking to see if I can make a bit of money from arbing to get by. As Thailand is quite cheap am not looking to make a fortune here and just looking to see if can make enough to get by without getting a real job!

I have about 2000 euro available, how much will this make me per month (roughly) ?

I was thinking of only using a few bookies, maybe betfair, pinnacle and marathon. Is this a good idea or not? Easy to keep track if have only 3. What other bookies should I consider?

Would I need to pay to get my arbs? Or would the free services be adequate ?

Any other advice would be great

Thanks for the Help, Ricko!

I think you should read the topics 'A few newbie questions '  and 'New in Arbitrage'. There is a lot of info which you might find useful. What do you think?

Gambling is illegal in Thailand. So you should not be gambling whilst you are there.

Sources: http://www.frixo.com/sbook/regions/thailand.asp
'Like most other countries of the East, gambling in Thailand on the main is completely illegal, with only two regulated betting opportunities available to the public.
The first is the State Lottery, which has no sporting ties whatsoever and is controlled by the Thai government. In terms of premise, the Thai Lottery is largely the same as that from other nations, with funding also being of economic benefit to the nation as a whole.
The second is horse racing, which is the only legal betting sport in the country. Horse racing regularly takes place in Thailand at venues such as the Bangkok Turf Club and gambling is fully permitted on the events which take place. Betting on foreign horse racing is however, like other sports, strictly prohibited.'

and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_c ... n_Thailand
Internet censorship is conducted by the Royal Thai Police, the Communications Authority of Thailand, and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT).[9]
Prior to the September 2006 military coup d'état, 34,411 web sites were blocked by all three government agencies. The cited reasons were as follows:[10]
60% pornography,
14% sale of sex equipment,
11% threats to national security, which includes criticisms of the king, government or military,
8% illegal products and services,
4% copyright infringement,
2% illegal gambling, and
1% other.
Although the great majority of censored sites were pornographic, the list also includes anonymous proxy servers which circumvent Web-blocking and provide access to Internet gambling sites. Pornography and gambling are specifically illegal in Thailand.'
