Odds trending

Mon Nov 04, 2013 1:03 pm

Hi,

I have a question, the normal thing about Under/over total goals is that when the match is near to start, the under drops?

Thanks.

Team news is all important. If a main striker is out of the line up then the odds for under will dramatically drop. The flip side if an attacking line up is named or key defenders out then unders odds will rise.

Some matches involving certain teams follow patterns which repeat themselves week after week. If you're clued up about which way the odds move you can trade prematch on the exchanges to lock in a profit.

It's not just football but in all sports you can find trends. In tennis Federer used to be always backed in before the start of a match as he was very popular with the punters. Nowadays as he's past his best his odds more often than not go out.
