I think a private forum section would be a great  benefit to the community and make it stronger (assuming that there isn't one now :)) ).

Elaborate your thoughts a little bit.
Who could join, under what criteria?
What else could be said there that the common shouldnt know about?
Thanks.

I think it's a forum where only registered users can read (and post) the information.

Who could join, under what criteria?
They should be approved by the most important members 3 or 5 people who would vote and if there whould be more positive than negative votes than the member should be approved.I would nominalize Muchbet and Arbusers to vote.
There should be a limited number of seats and members very carefully picked.
What else could be said there that the common shouldnt know about?
The members there could talk more buissnesses among them and maybe share more valuble info.
Maybe one day those members will become a betting syndicate or something more powerfull.

What extra information would private forum members post? I think people's strategies would be kept close to chest in any forum. What else shouldn't be shared publicly?

I do not like the idea of a closed forum or section. Some of the people that do not post very often are not newbies at all and have very interesting things to say. Maybe the option to send group private messages could be useful to some people.

well, the fact is, people don't like to share their most profitable secrets on public forums.

Very much correct.
A closed forum would make the vast majority of our members feel like b-class members and this is not what i would like to see.
In any case...the big pros...and we/I know who these pros are...are free to exchange pms and we know that this thing works.

I think it's a forum where only registered users can read (and post) the information.

Having a forum which you can only read after registering with a username and password is useful if you don't want the forum and all of it's postings get scraped by some big meta-information program.

Last summer I came across several hundred pages of scraped data from this very forum on a .ru website. So it does happen and will happen again (maybe Chinese or North Koreans next) unless somethings in the way to slow 'em down.

That said I also agree that it can put a damper on free and open communication and expression. And that having it will/would drive some people away.
