Please post all your criticism about https://app.arbvestor.com here. Be it positive or negative. Tell us about things that don't work the way you expected, or praise us for the hard work we already put into our service, if it works the way you want it to work.

multi choice selectors for sports and bookies is almost a must though.

Thanks! Yes, we think the multiple bookies is a good idea. The UI must change for that though, so it will not happen over night... but we put it in our todo list.

Are multiple sports really needed? We thought of the filters as a quick method, so it is easy to switch from sport to sport. What do you think?

Again, thanks four your input!

Maybe I don't know how to use it, but I had problems with the calculator.
- I can only make the calculator work if I press the arrows to increase or decrease amounts. If I enter amounts, nothing happens.
- I also noticed it rounded stakes on some books (i.e. Interwetten) and not on other (i.e. Pinnacle). Can this be configured?
- I created two bookies and chose to show only arbs within my accounts, but it showed arbs with other bookies (one of the legs is a bookie of mine but the other not).

Thank you.

I usually keep my alert service open with all the sports, and check a new arb when it pops up. I don't want to sit there changing the sport all the time checking manually if something new came up. So I guess the multiple sports would be nice too, not a really big deal tho.

Thank you for your input! Concerning your points:
Quote
- I can only make the calculator work if I press the arrows to increase or decrease amounts. If I enter amounts, nothing happens.
I can't reproduce this. Which browser are you on? Note that the calculation is only happening when you press enter or click outside the Stake box.

- I also noticed it rounded stakes on some books (i.e. Interwetten) and not on other (i.e. Pinnacle). Can this be configured?
True, the rounding is done differently, depending on the bookie. Since Pinnacle does not care about arbers we allow the stake to be uneven. But I got your point and I confirm that this option should be accessible in the preferences.

Quote
- I created two bookies and chose to show only arbs within my accounts, but it showed arbs with other bookies (one of the legs is a bookie of mine but the other not).
This happens for arbs that are pinned (red pin at the beginning of an arb line). Pinned arbs will show no matter what you select in the filters. If the arb was not pinned and still did show it was probably "active", meaning you did click on its Go button and it is still loaded in the betfinder. If you click on another Go button this arb should disappear. If none of my explanations is correct, please try to reproduce this and tell me how you exactly did it. It would help. We try to hunt this bug if there is one.

Maybe I don't know how to use it, but I had problems with the calculator.

Not yet. This is a plan for the future, but right now this is not part of our product.

multi choice selectors for sports and bookies is almost a must though.

A question for clarification. What would you like to see when more than one bookie is selected? I ask, because we implemented this as an "inclusive" filter, meaning that an arb that passes this filter must have this bookie selected. So if you chose two, would you like to see arbs that have either bookie (->showing more arbs in the end) or would you like to see only arbs that must have both bookies selected (->fewer arbs in the end)?

what is your betfinder? my pc says it isn't a trusted source and not to download it

what's to stop some crook coming up with the same idea, us arbers download their alert service and low and behold
they now have log in details and passwords for all our betting accounts/ewallets/banking and steal the lot?

don't take this the wrong way arbvestor but arbers should not be downloading anything unless they are 100%
sure of the company.

I was just going to say something similar

I would be worried about entering my accounts and passwords - my current service doesn't require it

Where are these details stored?

@yorkjoss
thank you for your input. I try to address your concerns:

what is your betfinder? my pc says it isn't a trusted source and not to download it

Can you please tell me what browser you are using? We have extensions for Firefox and Chrome. The Firefox extension is hosted on our server, but it is digitally signed with a Certificate from startssl.com. The Chrome extension is a bit more elaborate, since the big G does not allow advertisement of betting related content in its extension webstore, so we build our extension on top of the open source extension kit called "RC loader", so that we fully comply with G's policy. note that the RC loader is open source, but we are the programmers.

I wonder why your browser tells you the source is not trusted. We would like to investigate this. In our tests, the installations works smooth and without such warnings. Can you, or anyone else having this warning, make a screenshot of this, so that we can maybe have more insight on what is going on?

That is a very serious point. And you should by all means be very careful with your data! If you don't trust us, a EU based company that needs to comply to the strict Spanish laws for Data protection, you should not put your account details in the preferences. Our extension tries to still work and picks up the automatic surfing from there then. If you don't like the idea of automatic surfing, then don't use betfinder at all and just look at the arbs. there is a rudimentary arbcalculator available even if you decide not to install the betfinder extension. We try to explain in detail what we store and why in our terms (see https://arbvestor.com/terms-conditions/).

Basically the threat of data theft is obviously always a problem. I can assure you, that we do not store your passwords in a way that would allow us to read them. All data is encrypted in your browser with a key that only you know. It is a bit similar like the way MEGA handles user data, in case you know them. Anyway, the point is, that we do not have even your login password and we will never ask for it and we can't restore it, if you lose it. that is how we look at security.

Ultimately it boils down to trust. If you don't trust us, then don't use us.

TBH not many will trust you if their account details are stored with you - people are more wary about scams these days so to get any confidence from a customer this would have to be changed

I would suggest the arbs providing a link to the bookies event page and you log in there like Betburger for example

I'm not suggesting this is a scam but even a 1% risk of that is too big a risk for most of us - some people hold ten/hundreds of thousands in their various accounts :)
