Is this an arb?

Sat Nov 01, 2014 10:00 am

Hello. Betburger is giving me this as an arb.

Here is a picture of Pinnacle bet and Unibet one.

But the pinnacle bet is under NHL OT Included Alternates but the Unibet one says regular time only.

So is this pinnacle bet including OT and this is not an arb? Or is this a mistake from Betburger?

For handicaps of 1.5 or more, rules don't matter. OT is played only in case of a draw and only one more goal can be scored, so +1.5 will always win.

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie, and before I do what I think might be an arb, I need some info.

This takes place on betfair and a bookmaker.
I'd like to back team A "not to score" @ 2.50 at the bookie.
On betfair, in the "Team B keeps a clean sheet" lay the "No" @ 1.47.
Will this work as an arb or am I clearly missing something?
Thank you for your reply.

it is not. if team A scores, you lose both bets.

Not an arb. There are lots of negatives in the betfair line (laying a no), and it is quite hard to work it out. Best to write out all the possibilities and carefully manually grade each bet.

First glance for me too is that this is not an arb. It's just a gray area I think.

There's nothing gray about it, it's clearly not an arb, both bets are on the same outcome.

Thanks for that @raizzak. It was few months ago when I was wake up for arbing at 4.30 (because of NBA)  ;D but anyway.. I never saw that kind of arb between Pinnacle and SBO. That's why I am so suspicious about it...

I suppose Pinnacle or Sbobet changed their line to other handicap, but Betburger shows inactive line. It happens sometime.

True, but not this time. It was actually an arb between those two bookies. And it was online for at least 30 minutes.
