I was reading this article when in the end of it I noticed the following sentence:
"Only 1,000 full-time arbers are estimated to exist worldwide."
You think that this is the correct number?
At the time the article was written I did not know what sports arbitrage was, after I turn into a professional arber this means that I became in the full-time arber nº 1001? xD
Well, counting the number of members of this forum if half do this full-time is enough for what was said in the article.
I have a certain respect for the site in question, but there are certain things I see that leave me puzzled.
What you guys have to say about it?
Only 1.000 full-time arbers in the world??

Re: Only 1.000 full-time arbers in the world??
Hmmm, it's a big world so 1000 would be impossibly low. With that said, I'd say the number is pretty low if you only consider long-time professionals (at least 3-5 years) to be professionals. I'd imagine people turn to value betting at some point, and then you're not an arber anymore.
Then again, I'm still on my first year, so how would I know. Just have a bunch of pro gamblers as friends and people I know, and not a lot of those are arbers.

At least 50 in a third world country, so I guess it would be more than 1k for sure.
