Live Arbs - a nightmare

Wed Apr 15, 2015 1:10 am

Hi,

I feel comfortable with the pre-match arbs and I wanted to try arbing live. The few times I tried soccer I got burned even though I was literally placing the bets in a few seconds. I tired basketball and even though the price was in my favor in a second it was at break-even and then in the negative. What sports are friendly for beginners? Odds change so fast I have no idea how people manage this style of trading. Any advice is appreciated.

IMO, Tennis, basketball, football, with this order.
Live arming requires nerves and tricks.

Well that's not exactly accurate. But i understand the concern especially for ppl with small bankrolls, i will try to prove it wrong

Let's assume that on every soccer match the avg number of goals are 4 (which is obviously very high) it means that a goal happens at every 90/4=22.5 minutes  which is 22.5 *60 = 1350 seconds. I believe that we can agree that avg waiting time is not more than a minute (i believe it is even less but let's assume)

The chance of happening a goal at those 60 secs is (60/1350)*100 = 4.44%

Let's say that every arb we do at live is giving you 3 euros at every 100e sum that's translate at odds (for simplicity) 2 vs 2.13 so to get 100 the one leg is 50 and the other is 47

For this example we assume that  everytime the 50 euro bet will lose so with 4.44*50 = 222 euro lost per 100 bets and you will earn 95.56*3=286.38 per 100 bets

Even with those outrageous assumptions (maybe few of leagues have 4 avg goals) you will earn money even with danger zone
