New Fees

Wed Sep 23, 2015 9:03 pm

Received this email today:

We hope you are enjoying your Skrill services.

We have recently reviewed our fee structure and we are getting in touch to let you know about some planned future changes.

Later this year, we will be changing the amount we charge for deposits to Skrill. If you deposit money into your Skrill account, this change will affect you and we encourage you to visit our fees page for full details.

This change forms part of our ongoing commitment to improving your experience with Skrill and we hope you continue to enjoy using our services in the future. Please note, these changes will come into effect from November 22 2015.*

Thank you for using Skrill.

Regards

The Skrill Team

Basically they are charging a minimum of 0.5% to upload funds immediately via Skrill Direct, or 1.5% via Sofort .  Only free option is a bank wire which takes 3-5 days.  Not great really.

They have removed 1% chapped at 1€ from VIP benefits site. If every transaction with them will cost at least 10€, then bye bye Skrill.

absolutely if they removed the 1e cap at vips they will lose many customers including me. I still remember the time when they had 0.50e cap for everyone and cashbacks...

It would be suicide, they would probably lose all customers related to betting, gambling and other industries. Neteller would grow over the night like 10X

Here is what i have so far:
These are the fees right now and they will continue like this after November the 22nd.
https://www.skrill.com/en/fees/
For P2P transactions the fee remains 1% of the transaction with 10 EUR max. Afected customers are those who use Skrill Direct and Sofort. Whatever that means. Mainly it is for those who buy products on line paying directly from 1 Skrill account to  merchant account.
As I see it, nothing changed.

I use both Skrill direct and sofort to upload funds from my UK bank account to Skrill instantly.  Not anymore with those charges,

I cant see any other way to fund Skrill instantly without paying a suicidal fee.  That means having to wait 4 days for a bank wire to arrive at Skrill.  May as well just send bank wire direct to the book. Keeps them happier re fees and no time advantage to use Skrill any more.

Or go back to using a good old debit card which is instant and free.  Oh well Skrill's loss.
