Basic ip question

Sun Oct 18, 2015 8:48 pm

Hey guys, I've a question that I should probably know the answer to and think I do but just wanted to make sure.

If I turn my router off after logging into my account with a book, then later on I log into that book again after the same router has been switched back on, is there anyway the book in question can connect the two ip addresses that were generated from both logins?

Thanks

Probably not, but they could and probably will know you are logging in from the same computer.

If your ISP gives a dynamic IP, you will get a new IP address when you turn off the router and back on again. However, the MAC address of your router will still be visible, and will be the same for both logins. Bookies dont really use this data to flag duplicate accounts, but technically they could identify both logins as coming from the same router, regardless of IP Address

Knowing the mac adress the bookies can easyly rid of the arbers. Why they dont use this data to flag us?
