Laying bets

Wed Jan 06, 2016 10:11 am

Hi,

For example I have made a bet of 100euros on 1.9odds, and the other bet of 2.20 is gone, so I can't make a sure bet.
How does laying work? If I lay the same bet with odds better than 1.9 I am already in profit? How do you calculate that?

Thanls!

If you are talking about Betfair, you need to lay at 1.85 to break even (assuming 5% commission)

You say "with odds better than 1.9"  but when laying you are looking to lay someone the lowest odds possible, IE laying your bet at 1.84 is better than 1.85 etc
