Arb or Bad Line on Bet365?

Wed Mar 02, 2016 3:11 am

There was a game recently in the NBA where bet365 did not change the odds compared to pinnacle and every other book.  For example, the odds were -200 for favorite and +180 for the underdog.  Pinnacle would have -225 or so for favorite and +200 for underdog.  First off, if you bet on the -200 favorite on bet365, is there a chance they would cancel the bet?  Basically the line i noticed didn't move for a very long time.  I heard bet365 cancels bets if bad lines.  But would this be considered a bad line since well it isn't that off and basically the line stayed the same?  I recalled the +180 odds and even the spread stayed like this for quite a bit.

Thanks.

In case like this I doubt they would consider it as wrong odd, this kind of staff happens in bet365. About cancelling bets in bet365 - if you bet on palp, they don't void it, but settle with corrected odd (which is usual below market average). They only cancel mistaken odd if correct one should be lower than 1.01 or something.

next time go to oddsportal and check if the same line at the rest of the bookmakers has moved recently.
If it never was close to the one at bet365, then don't even bother.

the lines all moved at books like pinnacle etc.  However the thing is this line wasn't really that bad.  It was off 1 point on bet365.  Does that make sense?  So basically in terms of moneyline... all the books had team a -225 odds and team b +200 odds.  But on bet 365, you could bet team A at -200 odds.  And some book you could get +203 odds etc.

So in a way, it seems more like a bet365 opinion or lean if that makes sense?  Basically the line wasn't off that much.  Imagine a bookmaker has team a  -7 points in an nba game.  On Bet365 team a -6 points as oppose to 7.  And the moneyline odds wasn't changed either.  So is that still good to bet?  I mean if a team is giving 7 points and the odds you see is +7 odds, that is obviously a bad line.  Or if a team is giving 7 points and it shows -2, thats obvious error.  But if its -7 everywhere... and bet365 never moved the line and its still -6... is that okay to bet or not?

I'd bet that. Never had situation with bet365 changing odds of your bet in case like that.

I think there is no need to opet new topic, I must share this here. I was robbed again, this time, by bet365.
Played live arb on games in tennis, arb was about 4%, not higher than that, then I won 4.33odd on bet365 and the bet was suspended, after the match finished they just voided my bet,
since I lost on other bookie, I was in 450e minus. They didnt even change my odd, like they know to do, they just voided it. And what is the worse, it was real odd, there wasnt any mistake there..
Its 150 v 167 on ATP list, and third game break shouldnt be 4.33 on anybody??
I know that I will not pull this up on my end, just I want to share this with you, desperate times for them bookies when they must steal from costumers like this.

"I can confirm that the reason this bet has been void is because the incorrect server for the game was being displayed, and as such in line with our rules all bets on this market have been made void, regardless of being winners or losers."
Actually that wasn't mistake, the server was Darian King and he lost that game, so break game for Grega was all OK.

Looks like pinny also made mistake with servers, so both bets was voided. False alarm on this, but at least I will be carefull for this type of mistakes..

I find this interesting "About cancelling bets in bet365 - if you bet on palp, they don't void it, but settle with corrected odd (which is usual below market average)."

Has anyone ever tried showing them (or any other bookie) when they settle with corrected odds, that there were higher odds available somewhere else and that they should at least pay those odds? I mean PROVING that those odds were available, using some reliable source. If so, got any positive result? Probably they won't even bother, but it could be interesting...

Not exactly the same, but a couple of years ago Tipico voided my bet, after I showed more bookies equal or higher odds (water polo). I asked the "correct" price (what they think it is) then, and eventually they have settled my bet with the original odds. Changing odds costs much less then void, so I am not sure I would do that. Staying under radar is more profitable in long-term.
