US presidential election

Wed Mar 02, 2016 8:53 am

I was wondering why betfair has still money on the table for Jeb Bush as for presidency and as nominee of republicans?
As for Republican nominee there is 63€ with odds 650 to lay. 212€ with odds 1000 to lay Bush as a president. As far as I know
he's already announced to withdraw from competition. So why there is still money on the table for surewin? Of course the liability is huge and you tie your money for some time but you cannot lose if you lay him.

Yes you are absolutely right. I was just wondering why leave money on the table to lose?

Even with him not trying to get any election men today, it is still possible that at the convention the republic party finds trump too damaging and will be going to vote differently. e.g.1924 democratic convention took >100 rounds, despite every election person to have known in advance where to vote for.
