bookies: 5dimes, Betphoenix , Bookmaker.eu, and more

Tue Jul 19, 2016 8:28 am

Hi , even though I have been arbing for a year Im still a newbie , at least Im nowhere near as experienced as some of the ninja traders at this forum :)

I have a few questions about some interesting bookies I have  been looking into:
5dimes, Betphoenix , Bookmaker.eu, BetDSI , betonline and heritagesports

Some of them have some complicated bonus offer where one have to choose between reduced juice, cashback and several different match bonus  some as high as 175% but their turnover seams to be large.

I think all of them are pretty reliable?, are these sharp bookies , any info about them would be great.
what would be the best offer to take? do they charge for deposits and withdrawals ?

regards :)

Some of the offers are only available for US players.  Bookmaker and BetDSI are clones.  They are all reliable, but they do charge for deposits and withdrawals although most have at least 1 option to avoid that.  Use bitcoins where possible to avoid the charges.  Contact their live chat and ask about the options before depositing and withdrawing...if you don't you're likely to get a nasty surprise espicially regarding FX fees etc.

They aren't exactly sharp but will limit you very, very quickly if you arb them or "chase steam".  They do, sometimes, have slightly better odds than Pinnacle on US sports so I use them as a counter for my soft bookies every now and then.

I wouldn't touch betphoenix.
I have no recent info on heritage and betonline.
The rest is OK.

In the spectrum of USA facing bookies, they are all relatively reputable. The only concern I would have is with Betphoenix as I've heard about a few slow pays etc and although they always seem to pay in the end, I wouldn't be sure that their cashflow isn't at times on the brink so that would be the only one I wouldn't be totally confident of the security of my funds.

With reduced juice, out of the list you stated I expect you're talking about 5Dimes and Heritage Sports. If you're looking to use them long term which as an arber I expect you are, choose reduced juice as getting for example 1.95 instead of 1.91 consistently will make you loads more profit in the long run than a one-off bonus offer.

I wouldn't dig much further than you already have with finding USA facing bookies to bet with though. The kind of things you hear on SBR make you think that some of these low grade USA bookie operations literally are just some kid and his mate operating a sportsbook from his bedroom.

5dimes is sharp on US sports, but has a lot of soft lines on tennis or european basketball. They no longer offer Neteller nor Skrill. Their reduced juice programme could make some of their lines higher than in Pinnacle.
Rest of them is not very useful. If you would use BetOnline as sharp, you're able to get 25% on each reload on empty account, but not with e-wallets.
As Alfa mentioned their usefulness is limited.
Maybe if they would offer some big bonuses it could be more profitable to use them with lower odds than using Pinnacle's odds and no bonuses, in overall (but I think only when you'll be able to zero your balance instead of producing rollover).

Thanks guys for your input, think Ill do as Alfa said using them as an alternative to pinnacle when needed.
for now ill just try out 5dimes as I got a offer for a tipster service for depositing there.

@Alha1234 Isnt the bitcoin really volatile? seams a bit risky using bitcoin as a currency ? but its very interesting  Idea to use it especially if the currency move up

and thanks Arbusers and luctens for warning me about Betphoenix,

With the types of standard bookmaker you are talking about, Bitcoin will be converted at the current rate into fiat currency and you will have your account balance in fiat currency, not Bitcoin so you are protected from Bitcoin volatilities.

If you were at a Bitcoin only sportsbook then your account balance would be in Bitcoin and you would be subject to Bitcoin volatilities. I would not deposit into any of these sportsbooks at least not in the current climate with Bitcoin exchange rates always changing so much as they are, as with arbing you like a high degree of certainty and it certainly wouldn't be "interesting" as you say to use Bitcoin as the rate may go up because in the same way it could go down and it isn't unusual for Bitcoin to go up or down 5% in one day so a 2% arb for £10k stake can very quickly turn from a £200 profit into a £300 loss just like that.

Thank for clarify this for me,  this has  been a really informative post for me :)

For now my bankroll is not at the 10k area,  do the softbook really accept so high bets?

Sometimes they do on the big events. For example, Bet365 standard liability limits for big league football is as much as £10k-£20k.
