PowerBet.io?
« on: January 20, 2017, 10:09:25 PM »

Anyone heard of PowerBet.io? A new Bitcoin book with some loose lines - lines similar to 1xBet.

A review says they are powered by SwissBet. Is that an odds provider? What other books does SwissBet power?

A new bitcoin book offering anonymous accounts, betradar prices and generous bonus. May not be a recipe of long and healthy life.

Site is great. Very fast. One of the best, if not THE best I've seen. Great odds - similar to Marathon. Withdrawals are very fast. Account annonymous. Only email required. Not sure where they are based. Anyone know?

However, on their BitcoinTalk.org thread, I found this:
"Arbitrage betting is against our policy and a direct threat towards our propriety. Arbitrage activity leads with FULL CERTAINTY to financial gains for the arbitrator and therefore with FULL CERTAINTY to losses of AT LEAST one of the involved sportsbooks.

We acted accordingly in order to stop this non-gambler arbitrator player's activity, by contacting a directly involved party into his arbitrage activity.

All our legitimate players can rest assured that their personal details are respected and protected with us! As shown above, arbitrators are not welcome on our sportsbook and we cannot guarantee their right to privacy while they break our policy!"

They checked out an arbitrager with CloudBet.

Too bad. So far, I haven't been banned - maybe because I have lost a little more than I have won so far. I better be careful or I expect a bet will be cancelled one of these days. Or maybe I should just stop now.

It is strange that it matters that someone betting the same lines offered to all would be considered a threat. So they don't mind taking tens of thousands of bets on a Side, but they don't want my $300.

I realize that it's more that they don't want bettors playing just their soft lines. Of course, they could fix that by improving their research and the speed at which they change their odds and by sharpening up their lines. Pinnacle welcomes Arbers because they are confident in their lines.

By no mean is account anonymous , you must enter your personal details to registration

Moreover i copy some of their t&c's

On request, the customer shall undertake to provide a copy of an official photographic identification document (passport, driving license, personal ID card) and a selfie holding the respective document near his/her face.

and

Customers are only allowed to open one account. Opening of multiple accounts is not permitted. Should we have reasonable suspicions that any of our customers has opened multiple accounts with us, e.g. for the purposes of avoiding stake, deposit or winning limit, we reserve the right at our absolute discretion to freeze that customer's account or to close the account immediately and the customer shall forfeit all their winnings. Customers should also note that their original deposits will not be refunded.
