Hello guys,
Can someone explain to me how the law system works in Uk, I have a dispute with a bookie and I am 100 percent sure I will win, my problem is that I will win 2000 pound from the bookie, but the lawyer is tell me that his time cost 177 pounds per hours. So if he spends just 10 hrs on the case, then I am losing win or lose.
so my question is, who pays for the lawyer or for the expenses I incur in the process, also assuming something happens who pays for the law service

Re: lawyer and payment
I don't know about UK, but in Spain there's a minimum amount of 2000€ for the other part to be forced to pay for your lawyer in case you win, and if the amount you ask for is lower, they don't need to pay for this.
Better take a look at this before asking for 2k and spending 3k plus time and effort.
It is not an easy nor a fast process, so it's always better to try and solve it personally with the company, and only if it's worth your time and effort, use a lawyer as a last resource.
