2014 was a great year, the most profitable one so far, for 2015 I fear the new legislation that portuguese government will(?) implement, that I guess will make every bookmaker to leave Portugal, we got agents of course, but we still need soft bookies, and no agents for them, let's hope all is not lost.
Have a great 2015 all of you fellow arbers.

I started arbing in 2014 and what I really regret is that back in 2006 when I picked up poker and knew about arbing, I made my choice with poker. I did make some money with poker but for 9 years of arbing I woud have certainly made much more. This was simply because I could deposit as low as 50$ and turn them into 2000$ and never risked much as opposed to risking thousands with bookmakers back then just seemed absurd.
Anyway so far I am really happy with arbing and look forward to making more profit during 2015.

Oh man, this is something I completely relate to, though I don't think I'd ended up doing a lot of great things had I found arbing and made a bunch of money that way, so I guess things worked out in a way. Still...

Anyways, we have opportunities still, so let's get 'em while they're there, right? :)

It is my second year of arbing and it is a no contest. After a really awful  learning season at 2013, 2014 i changed gears (method, approach, mentality) this season i had 14 times ! more money earned. I obviously can't expect any big improvement and even  -10% next year i will be more than happy

You would have stopped arbing by now.
Right now , you would be running your business , renting your house(s) and traveling the world :)

What i really "regret" is that i was only 14 years back in 2005 , of course that i had no fucking clue about arbing at that time , i was busy learning chemistry and geography :P
Local people who had clue about it have made millions with online + local bookies, now online bookies limit much faster , local bookies don't accept even 50 euros.

No, they don't. They're still arbing :D I know some elder arbers, Can you believe they're still arbing? Money is never enough! And making money via arbing is fun. Do you know why arbing is addicting? When we guarantee a profit with arbitrage, your brain secretes endorphin. That's why arbing is addicting :D I believe it must be very hard to quit this profession.

I wish I had started arbitrage betting early too. I'm betting since 2003 but started arbing in Summer 2012. Those days, I was arbing only baseball, lol. Then I started football arbing in 3rd Quarter of 2012. Time passes like the wind!

If I had a time machine, I would go to early 2000's and would start arbitrage earlier, lol. Things I hear from elder arbers..simply unbelieveable, amazing!
10-point middles, books change lines after 9-10 hours and books who don't change odds at all, books open same odds for Moneyline and 1st Quarter, books who open same under/over odds for all games in that league (1,90 U/O for all games in Premier League and 1,50 for all unders in France Ligue) super generous bonuses and so on. Arbers who started this profession early were very lucky. But it's never late to start arbing.

Arbitrage business is still a very profitable business but things were much more easier in the past, according to Elders..
Expecting arbitrage business to become more challenging after few years. Hope to be retired by that time :D

yngwie/sawyer is correct arbing is addictive, an arber will crave profit and feel satisfied and happy after he has had his "fix"
in the exact same way a drug user would.

I started arbing in 2009, sure I regret missing the "best" days but feel extremely lucky to have discovered arbing

as for old arbers being retired, life and people are not like that, the Rolling Stones are still touring.

yes conditions have changed for the worse? but as arbuser says most guys are reporting new records for 2014,
not me but very close, as your bankroll increases arbing becomes more profitable and this increased bankroll
kinda makes up for the more difficult arbing conditions.

for the newbies with many "friends" you can look forward to a few good more arbing years to come, things may be
tougher but still lots of "free money" out there, definitely beats working for a living ;)

Well, conditions have changed for the worse, that's a fact. But as time progress, we're getting more skilled and experienced, we're gaining level :D You know 15th Level Wizard is stronger then 3th Level Wizard. Your capital, bankroll increases also. That's why you make more profit every year..as long as you have enough friends, err..I mean resources :D

But you can be sure about one thing. If you were arbing in 2005, you would make more profit than this :D And with a lesser effort, seriously. Oh those generous bonus offers, where are they now :D

Well said about Rolling Stones :D

Things may be tougher but still lots of "free money" out there, definitely beats working for a living ;)

Well said again :D

Sadly I started arbing only in late 2013. But basically knew about it since 2008. Back then I was still stupidly believing that there are ways to earn cash by doing nothing. Bonus bagging once in a while was close enough so I could afford to be lazy - there was always enough beer on my table to spend a happy student's years. Then bookies stopped offering bonuses to my country, university years came to an end and I faced the harsh reality - either start working 9 to 5 or think of something else. And arbing it was. I put all of my money in and now after 190 days of work in 2014 I have 7 times more of it. The first thought of earning few hundreds per month to be able to last till I get some decent job transformed into thought that I could be able to raise my bankroll increasing monthly profit and suddenly I realized that my profits are way over any kind of salary I could get in my country now or after 20 years in a successful career.

Hardest part of arbing is "time" in my opinion,

Sometimes, you want to go outside and drink with friends :D
You want to play with your babies, watch together Charlie and The Numbers. (Baby Tv)
Or you want a romantic getaway with your wife.

The balance is important in my opinion. What's the point of living if you don't live it? We're humans, not machines. We can't spend all our day in front of computer. Therefore, I decided to slow down my work tempo a little bit in 2015. So far so good. Profits decrased a little bit but feeling more happy and peaceful. I wish everyone a happy, peaceful 2015 with your loved ones. Cheers!

Took advantage of Bonus Bagging and now on Profit Maximiser.  I've been gubbed at a few bookies so I've taken a step back to review my betting habits.

1    Not to bet on as many money back offers - gubbing in the waiting

2    Not to take arbs all the time

3    Middles, middles and more middles

4    More E/W betting (Zero Risk Trading) when the horse racing season really kicks in

5    Somehow work out a way to use Pinnacle from the UK (will post a Q on this)

6    Not let betting (well, matched arbing, middles)  be the end all be all

7    Work my bankroll harder

8    Increase bankroll T/O from my current 15%PCM  to 25% PCM  (big ask - but you have to have a goal)

9    Be happy  ;D

Well - that;s my stall for 2015

2014 was a start for my Automatic arbing bots. Working time 5minutes a day, profit with valubetting bankroll twice every month.
:) amazing year.

Started a couple of months ago and am still learning the fundamentals. It's been very enjoyable albeit time consuming.I have a turnover of about 8% so far which is probably pitiful for some standards in here but hoping to improve in the future.I'm trying to solve future problems before they need to be solved and as a result of this am not capitalising fully on bankroll building from a short-term point of view, but I hope with time things will gradually improve.I've no intention of stopping anytime soon anyway.

Talk about past times is interesting, whilst it may have been a golden age back then,I would argue there was also more uncertainty in the industry. This forum identifies any newcomer to the game now and gives it a review.Back then who was to know whether or not certain companies were trustworthy compared to now,I think thats something positive we can take from the present at least.

Thanks to everyone who posts in here on a regular basis and to Arbuser for creating the forum.Long may progression continue.

Hello Mi_t_is.
You mentioned automatic arbing bots and then valuebetting. Are you betting arbs? Or just the value side?
Are you using betfair or other books or exchanges that allow placing bets via program interfaces?
