I also believe 2015 will be even worse for those who make arbs in Portugal. Not only by the new legislation, but for what is happening now, soft books are leaving, such as tipico, ladbrokes, mybet, etcLuis wrote: 2014 was a great year, the most profitable one so far, for 2015 I fear the new legislation that portuguese government will(?) implement, that I guess will make every bookmaker to leave Portugal, we got agents of course, but we still need soft bookies, and no agents for them, let's hope all is not lost.
Have a great 2015 all of you fellow arbers.

It's just the same for me, so far. I think it's too early to tell though since it's just a few days. We'll see.

By the way, something I noticed interesting about 2014. Sharp book side (pinny, betfair and asians) balance ended up (slightly) positive! Previous year, sharp book side was -260k. So I can say 2014 was a very balanced year.

for longevity of accounts, maybe the softs are getting smarter? definitely the average arb percentage has declined,
which of course means more likelihood of winning on the sharp side, who wants to value bet now?
