Hi,
is anyone here from Poland or Ireland? Do you have to pay taxes from sports betting in those countries? From what I read in Poland it is taxed right when placing the bet, which means I have to add% to my arbitrage .. Additional winings are not taxed? How bout Ireland?
Thank you in advance.

Re: anyone from Poland/Ireland?
In Poland you have 12% tax per bet and if your winnings on coupon exceed 2280 PLN (~500 euro) there is additional tax of 10%. If you are able to win with those taxes, no other taxes to pay (such a mercy!).

Is it even possible to be a long term winner with taxes like that? Seems to me you are doomed from the start in that country. Not as bad as Croatia taxes but still sucks. In Serbia at least we are free from any taxes.

Yeah - in theory. There will be huge errors/+EV possibilities from time to time but you need to take into account that not few thousands a month so you are sure you will beat downswings/variance. Waste for time anyway as you if are able to make money here using such crap bookies you are most likely to be pro and you can make shitloads of money elsewhere without such effort.

Ireland has never taxed winnings on the customers side, can you elaborate on your post Steve, and send a link?
