i said "one minute, even less". Did not count actually the seconds, as I was more interested to place my bets, but yes some time they last even more than one minute. In this case, I always place the bets at the others first and pinnacle last.

by betting and winning you earning points. When you have a lot of points you get lower commision. Depending on your country you have base commsions(below you can check). You can have maximum of 60% discount rate. For my country is base commision 7% so if i can get maximum 60% discount rate my lowest possible commsion will be  7 - (7/100)*60 =2.8%  .. 2 percent .. max 4 percent (2 percent both side ..) is fair commission .. in any world .. real estate .. stock broking operate on volume and 0.1-2 percent
So betfair thanks to monopoly is killing everybody ..
I hope their arise samsung and htc and nexus of world to fight the Apple monopoly in tablet and smartphone in betting exchanges..
so people have choices and saving..
Before paypal was killing .. came skrill .. neteller .. and world was different ..
Healthy competition leads to rates being realistic .,,
Monopoly always do this .. make hay till sun shines..
part of problem is smarkets/  betdaq / matchbooks lacking liquidity ..
so people hve herd mentality .. waiting for liquidity as on betfair .
if 2-3 bookies unite .. and support betdaq or 1 -2 betting exchange..
specially with easy deposit / withdrawal and excellent customer support..
and purposefully  bringing liquidity by willing to take marginal losses to attract the herds from betfair
things will improve.. ladbrokes brought betdaq .. but it need to take hit 2- 6 quarters .. by bringing liquidity itself and bear the fire .. alone or with somebody to get the liquidity for people to move
because arbs at 1-3 percent on matchbook and so on  will lead such exchange site be on everybodies subscription list..
and see the monopoly break as of apple in smartphone ..

but everybody is waiting to bell the cat ..

Good one. Arbusers has been tested through time already. i don't think anyone could have questioned that.

Recently I have had the chance to place an arb with bets at the same sharp bookie. It happens very rare, but sometimes there are these opportunities. Fortunately I did not have any problems until now and I am wondering, since they see the arb placed black on white, if they can react in a negative way or if they are just happy with the turnover. What do you think, have you tried this?

I have seen it happen in live,12bet, 188bet,sbobet.
I only tried them with 10 euro, most of the time the odds moved before i placed the second bet.
188bet voided all of the wrong odds,kept the ones with no value.

From what you write I guess it is not safe to place serious stakes on something like this.

drhoo, probably they forgot to update some odds and the alert service found them.
Strangely enough, after comparing the odds to other bookies it appeared that both were value bets.

Well, they voided them when they fixed their lines, so i could cover them.
The lines were wrong for just a couple of minutes.
Alerts pick them up very fast but i dont chase arbs like that, usually arb is gone by the time you find the match.
Sometimes i have nothing to do and check them out.

Why is that an arb?

I am not sure what you mean, it produces a profit regardless of the outcome of the game.
