Thank you, reading yours and a few other answers I got an idea of how some of you work.sir arbsalot wrote:legitarb wrote: Hey fellow arbers,
I would like to discuss some things with you. What interests me is the main approaches to arbing. My questions are about pregame arbing:
can't reply about pregame as the bigger and better profits for me are on live
1. How much do you usually bet or arbs? average bet 1.5k
2. What profit do you get? 3k per week on average
3. On what kind of arbs do you bet on ~5% or lower ones and why? live bets only
4. How often do you do that? (Do you do it few times a day, or you do it once in 3 days) when there's decent football on
5. Also are there some extremely important rules to prevent you from getting restricted (also I need to know the differences between betting on sharp bookies vs soft bookies) there is no rulebook, it's about trial and error mostly but no worries about bets with sharps, only softs
6. Are there any more important things that I need to know? the most important arbs are the ones you don't do, longevity of accounts is key
good luck legitarb...this is about survival of the fittest and you join the party very late, before was much easier and now only smart hard working newbies will succeed, lazy or not smart guys have little chance and will probably lose money and give up.
to compete with experienced guys with large bankrolls is not easy but of course is possible

Re: Arbing principles
I wasn’t rude at the beggining, in fact I politely asked some questions. The problem is that in almost every newbies topic you see people mumbling that “READ the forum” and similar stuff. Instead of that time they could just help or even skip the topic. And now interested person wastes a lot of time going through topics in which all the comments are that you must read the forum.pythonic wrote: Newbies asking rudely for people to give away their trade secrets on a silver plate will always recieve a warm welcome.

Maybe you should heed the advice of the forum and actually read it completely (not just a few topics). The forum is not the problem, you are. It's not a waste of time. By reading it completely, you'll get a lot of insights and understanding about the business. A lot of things will become clear. It's the best advice you can and will get if you are starting out.legitarb wrote:I wasn’t rude at the beggining, in fact I politely asked some questions. Re: Arbing principles
@legitarb,
First of all I address to you a very warm welcome to the forum.
Secondly I would like to repeat what several people already stressed, that you need to search the forum first. Unfortunately, when I say ''read the forum first'' this is a process that will take a lot of time. A quick browsing will not help you as in many occasions the valuable diamonds are hidden within the text and not shining in the titles. You have to dedicate some serious time.
During these last 8+ years of the forum, I had the honour to meet face to face more than 40 members. In many of them I m asking the same question, even though some times I m changing the wording - if they had beaten the market over their smart gambling years. Most say yes, while some aren't just sure. A very clever guy once told me “Who cares? All I know is, my gambling activities earned enough for me to make many dreams come true”.
Could there be a more perfect answer? After all, the whole point of smart gambling is not to earn more money than others or the average, but to earn enough money to meet your own needs. The best way to measure your success is not by whether you’re beating the market or other players, but by whether you have in place a plan, some techniques and a behavioural discipline that will take you where you want to go. In the end, what matters isn’t comparing your self with others or provide lessons to others, because surely they don't want to compare with you, nor needing lessons.
Once again I extend to you a very warm welcome to the forum and I m giving you my best wishes for success.

Now I m taking that statement to highlight something else. Maybe you should start your arbing career by embracing the following.legitarb wrote: Thank you, reading yours and a few other answers I got an idea of how some of you work.
