I went into such a shop with the purpose of discussing betting strategies with more experienced bettors. It took not more than a couple of seconds to realize that this is not going to happen, because of the reason you mentioned.MUCHBET wrote: Also always there are some rather weird people hanging around in those betshops, placing 5-15x combination-bets for 1€ - but watching who else is there - then you move in and get paid a couple thousands on your last win - guess who will get attracted???
Not real fun IMHO!

Re: Arbing with street shops
Hah that's an understatement Muchbet! About ten years back I was living in Wien for a few months just up the Gurtel from Westbahnhof by the intersection with Hutteldorferstrasse. And there were some wierd ass mf hanging around at all hours of the day in various stages of inebriation or withdrawal, but especially by those betting offices (wrong adjective; the french Pissoir would be more descriptive of them places) and tobacco shops. You go hanging around those places you better be carrying something that'll pack a good punch (like a bar of soap in a sock or some brass knuckles) if someone rolls youMUCHBET wrote: ...working - but at least in Austria those betshps are usually in bad areas/locations, meaning also that you expose yourself some risk of getting ripped of, etc...

Just an idea to MUCHBET and maybe others interested in this job.
If you are afraid, as you probably should, of being robbed, why not take 1-2 tough guys with you all day, every day you bet, and give 'em a drink for the service. If your profits are good, you shouldn't have to worry about the money.
That way you can be sure no one will fuck around with you.

Seriously - betshops are always in railway-station areas or other less developed areas of a city (at least in Austria) - so that's the reason you didn't see them in "1. Bezirk" (rich city center area)

I did show you the wrong place then by dining @PlachuttaArbusers wrote: From my passing in Vienna, i can say that i didnt see this kinda people. Of course i was moving in the very center of the city.

Also if it is possible try to place bets by phone call...
Re: Arbing with street shops
Try to picking money if it is possible in hours when betting shops are not fully crowded.MUCHBET wrote:I did show you the wrong place then by dining @PlachuttaArbusers wrote: From my passing in Vienna, i can say that i didnt see this kinda people. Re: Arbing with street shops
You can leave the money in the shop.
You keep only the winning tickets and you exchange them with cash, when next bet needed.

Re: Arbing with street shops
This "bodyguard"- style is pretty strange.
The more you come around with this guys, the more the others get interessted in you. Or not?
So,if I would tell, that I know some really dangerous guys you don´t should mess up with, and this problem about robbery etc. doesn´t exist, there are still some questions: (@MUCHBET)
In wich shop can I find odds to arb?
@all: If you win, will you get your money?
I would give it a try,but I think the biggest problem is getting the odds...

Re: Arbing with street shops
Hey guys. Can someone share expierence from UK? For example when i was in London i saw WIlliamhill and Paddypower street shops max 10min walk from place where i lived (15-20min walk from Heatrow airport) so i think WH and Paddy offer great arbs in online sites, how they are in streetshops???
Just idea if 2-3 guys communicate, then 1 can place bet in street shop around 1k and second place in pinny just. Where is problem? I think 500-1k for UK street shops is not amazing amount for bet.
Just questions... Does they have fees from winnings? Does they have the same or almost the same odds as in online sites? Does they accept bets like 1k???
Just in paddy and wh you can find often 3-5% arbs with pinny (in season ofc), so i think its enough even to place 2-3 bets a day and be in good profits! and example in london these street shops are a lot of. you can place bets not every day in one the same...

Re: Arbing with street shops
Ok but i know that in EPL odds sometime are 10-15min available the same and limits are high. Just i thought that 500GBP for UK is nothing...strange. But i think anyway its possible to arb with streetshops and there are some which are only streetshops. So at least in UK, London i think there are few hundreds of streetshops so its possible to arb using them.ArbAttack wrote: The odds in shops are the same as online but they update at the same time as online also. There are no fees to pay in UK shops, the 9% tax rule was abolished in 2002 I think, after the shops complained they could not compete with online operators who were not liable to the tax rules.
You will still get referred to traders with stakes of £1k. Even £500 depending on what you're betting on.

Could you write a step by step guide on how you trade with the accumulators? Would be very interesting.

Re: Arbing with street shops
In UK is somthing very common. there are 1-2 bookies who keep their odds almost all the weekend.
Downsdide is thad as first will have a 300 pounds max bet and after a while 100.
So you have to go lots.
So its better of al us t stock to low bets so the price will stand. If noob or an idiot ask for 500 pounds 05 1k he may take it but the book wil instantly cut the odds.
Also they do spot you.So you have to sit down and think how you will trear all this,.
If you go 5-6 imtes a raw t same book and to lace ber on arm they will spot you and then everytin you ask somethig they wll have to call to accept your bet.
Good luck.
