No they aren't or at least were not. Remember Canbet? If you mean the big UK books, well most of those were not really regulated in the UK, but in Gibraltar or elsewhere. Whether the new rules offer any more protection that remains to be seen, but in the end of the day neither the UK nor any other country that has supposedly strict gambling legislation offers any guarantee to players' funds. It's all bs.
