Asian Handicap

Sat Jul 16, 2011 11:58 am

Hello all,

I´m rather new in arbing and i currently try mathbet.

So i´ve fount an arb:
1st Bet: Team 1 wins; Odd 2.0
2nd Bet: AH Team 2 (0;0,5) Odd 2.1

As far i understand AH if Team 2 wins with 1 or more goals i would win the full 2nd bet.
But if the game ends with a draw i would lose the 1st bet and the half of the 2nd bet. -> so i would make a loss

Am i right? or i dont understand AH correctly?
is this truly an arb?

AH2 +0,5 would be the one towards 1  :)

@smoka85
There is a difference between AH +0.5 and AH +0.25.
Different bookmakers write these two AH in different ways, eg.:

AH +0.5 can also be quoted as AH 0:0.5. Both are the same. They are also the same as X2 and EH +1.

AH +0.25 can also be quoted as AH 0-0.5 or AH 0:1/4.

As MUCHBET writes I would also expect that you have there is a AH +0.5, which makes it a surebet of 2.38%.

Hello guys,
I would really appreciate if someone explains me whats the meaning of this arb...

E1(-1)-1-H2(+0.75).

I cant understand what E1 is and the difference of E1(-1).
The middle -1- i think that it is the home team.

And finally H2(+0.75) i think that H2 means double handicap and H2(+0.75) means that with x2 wins and with a loss of 1 goal i take half bet back.

Also i found this :  H1(-0.25)-X-H2(0).

I know what happens if each of teams win at the end but I cant understand what happens if the game end draw.

Can anyone please help me.

"1" and "2" in your example mean "Home team" and "away team".

"E1(-1)"= European handicap -1 goal home team,
1 = Home team
H2(+0.75) = Asian handicap +0,75 away team

On your second example, H1(-0.25)-X-H2(0), in case of a draw, you lose half your stake of the H1(-0,25)bet, win the X bet and take your stake back of the H2(0) bet.

Study carefully what the asian handicap is before you place any bets, cause if you can't understand it, you will probably end up placing wrong bets.

Thank you so so so so so so much.
I was trying 2-3 days to understand what its happening with these handicaps.
I was calculating and recalculating and i couldnt solve the puzzle.

I ll test them again and again till i feel sure to use them.

Thank you!

team1  1          @1.5      100eur
team2  +0.75    @3        100eur

so if team1 win with 1 goal it's 50eur profit ? all other results it's 0 profit ...... right?

my mistake

team1  1          @1.5      200eur
team2  +0.75    @3        100eur

so if team1 win with 1 goal it's 50eur profit ? all other results it's 0 profit ...... right?

team 1        E1(-2)            3          100eur
team 2        AH +2.25        1.5        200eur

if team 1 win by exactly 2 goals is it 50eur win?

if home team wins by 2, you lose your first bet and win only half of the second.
EH has 3 outcomes, so it would be draw.
