Avoiding Skrill withdrawal conversion fees

Mon Oct 11, 2021 12:26 pm

As I remember I tried to find solution before but no luck. The thing is my Skrill account currency is euro, I used to withdraw to my bank account before but was a bit upset about conversion, didnt like loosing anything. Opened account in euro then, everything was fine untill now, these mugs do double conversion in such transaction which is insane. Just called them, was told that having Skrill account in euro, they HAVE to send money in my country currency I like it or not, then - considering the fact that I asked to withdraw to my euro account here, they convert AGAIN to euro. Pure stupity, would save half by just withdrawing to my ordinary account. Allright, was told there was a info released some time ago, didnt see it, my fault but still, this is pure stupidity.

My question is, any way to withdraw euro from Skrill to avoid any fees?

It is a solution for small amounts and few transactions.
For larger amounts and/or more frequent transactions, you can try toopen an Estonian bank account. The easiest in the EU I think

The easiest? More like one of the hardest after the money laundering scandal a few years ago.

Tbh I have not checked what's the procedure lately in Estonia. Afaik if you are an EU citizen and can provide a doc for residence, any EU bank has to open a basic account. And the residence doc should be easy to obtain
