Bet365 Argentina

Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:55 am

Gambling in Argentina looks very complicated to me. Could someone tell me if Bet365 operates legally in this country?
Thank you.

Gambling regulation in Argentina is decentralised, with each of the 24 provinces governing gambling activities independently. What a mess!!! Some provinces, like Buenos Aires have legalised and regulated online gambling, allowing bookmakers like Bet365 to operate with licenses. Others remain unregulated or prohibit online gambling. For example, Córdoba (country’s second biggest city).

I think this will change soon as regulation and taxation of gambling is a source of great revenue for central governments. Argentina is in constant need for funds, and the current government under Millei is very pro market to put it mildly.

So for the time being, after having a quick search I found the following provinces allowing gambling and Bet365:

City and Province of Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Santa Fe, Chaco, Misiones, San Luis, Tucumán, Entre Ríos, La Pampa, Neuquén, Río Negro, and Santa Cruz

The following provinces do not allow Bet365: Córdoba, Formosa, Jujuy.

So I covered 16 out of the 24 Provinces of the country. Maybe a member from Argentina could say about the remaining 8.

@x-casino, why are you asking? Are you expanding to South America?

Yes, expanding. Thank you for the good report. Half of the population leaves in the greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area, so this is what counts for me. Bookmakers would not care about the Patagonia desert.
