Re: bet365 satelite
If I'm not wrong, the major agencies with their own odds compiling know-how, and odds suppliers (odds compilers, selling odds to the non-major agencies), have specially reserved channels, faster than the customer retail satellite signal. Not to mention their scouts, watching the events at the venue.
Additionally, they practice some delay time before your position is being accepted on their side /danger zone, etc. In the third place, if your behavior seems to them that you regularly try to "beat" the TV signal delay and position delay and you regularly win due to the events on the pitch, which happen immediately after these delays, you may get limited.
There are many other analytics tools, that help you to win if your strategy doesn't rely on the fastest possible position placing. Read carefully the forum.

Re: bet365 satelite
Hi guys, did you find satelite or some broadcasting service that gives you lower delay than bet365' satelite. I would pay any amount just to have faster stream than bet365.

How long does it take from when an event happens until it is reflected in the Bet365 odds?

Re: bet365 satelite
Here is some info. I have always used satellite dishes in order to obtain fastest picture (raw feeds).
Back in the days, you could trade/scalp and I did infact placed a bet using Sky regular feed for Superbowl when Manning passed to Plaxido Burres (2008). Yes many things have changed since them, but still:
- Raw feeds are the fastest solution. You need a dish (>150 cm), PC tuner card. Lots of testing, reading etc. ... So regular TV is out of question. Raw feed is at least 4 seconds behind court. Yes the original courtsiders were the techboys.
- Bet365 live feeds are delay from 3-4 up to 10-15 second (from the raw feed) depending on the country of the event...
- Not all bet365 videos have live raw feeds. Sometimes the transmission is done over fiber. TV transmission is quite expensive and reserved for major events. You can see that in small games where the camera is moving, people standing hiding the court etc. Don't know details
- Even if you have the right setup the curvature of the earth will f.ck you up. So you have to make a trade offs - where to live, where to set up dishes etc. It is/was a hard choice for me. Having 5 huge satellite dishes is a huge no-no in most countries.
- This is the most important point... I don't do betting via live/score services/odds etc. Especially nowadays with all the VARs.
Now to your question CharlieSHeen - it depends for what? If you want to place a bet after a goal is scored in soccer - not sure that is doable in regular bookies. (delay times mostly) I was so good that Betfair just started voiding my bets and said to f.ck off, and I stopped doing it.
What about basketball NFL, (not actively managed events) - yes it helps because you can read/watch the game itself, not the odds. Sometimes live odds are just insane - there is offensive foul and the odds are as if there is a defensive one. You know - this type of situations. Can you exploit that - sure - it is not my style. Trading point-for-point basketball game manually is driving me nuts, so it is up to you. Same for NFL - you have to focus on one game only - to watch all the flags, referee signs, crowd cheering etc. And mistakes could be costly. Sometimes to be first mean to be first to be taken advantage of just because delays work on your disadvantage.

Hello Tonton and welcome to the forum.
I had to drastically moderate your previous post because some of the things you mentioned are in the edge of legality. Take it as a protection of our forum and your protection as well.

Hello Tonton;
My interests here are just simple curiosity. I didn't think about using it as an advantage, and i won't do nothing that breaks the law, or that could be in the greys.
Thank you.

Re: bet365 satelite
charlie , anyone who has an advantage over the bookmakers is committing a serious crime and treason.
everyone who is at a match and bets on their phone inplay will soon be in prison.
i did hear once of a UK man who was arrested for 'courtsiding', but then the police didnt even understand what he was arrested for because they thought he was fixing the match somehow lol, so he was released. they reported it that he may get 10 years in prison.
The media/police is just so clueless when it comes to gambling its amazing

Re: bet365 satelite
hahahahah, from an economic perspective, you are losing at the end a lot of time, and money, in lawyers, courts...., time and effort that you can spend in winning more money. Not to mention, what we call now mental health. That not only will affect to your general health but your work as well. And, we are not talking about an office work 9-17, we can lose money if we have not our minds correctly focused, or distracted with shits.
So, even knowing that you are not doing something illegal, i prefer to be careful. If something is against the law, or could be against the law, or someone could think that coud be against the law.....I prefer to stay away.

Re: bet365 satelite
why could following a live ij match be a violation of the law? the houses have people on the land, don't they do the same thing?!? if I am not allowed to watch the video and I bet a share that is already lost, will someone give me my money back?

I just said, that some people can consider it.
And, in that case, you will need to defend yourself.

No, of course, it's not a violation of the law.

Re: bet365 satelite
I know… I bet so many times on erroneous odds that were already lost or I had no chance...the agency told me that next time I should go watch the match...or is it only a problem if you win!!
