Hi
You may have noticed but since Betburger introduced its API, the surebet/valuebet market has declined:
bet-burger-kill-the-market-with-api-t7713/
Today and for some time, Betburger has started to partner with Bookmakers to offer a "Trading and Risk management strategies" tool.
Example the Bookmaker Codere:
https://www.oddsmarket.org/article/code ... rtnership/
Oddsmarket and Betburger belong to Aspira Limited.
The most absurd thing is that they scan you for bookmakers with whom they collaborate..
The enemy of the books becomes their friend

Re: Betburger collaborates with Bookmakers
In the beginning bookmakers were using betburger normal subscription, ok this is normal and fair. They sign up, pay for live and pre, ok no problem.
But creating such a great tool for bookmakers? haha I cannot believe it.
Anyway, maybe it was a matter of time.
This tool is great: https://www.oddsmarket.org/product/betsprotector-api/
So, an arber/valuebettor/smart bettor use betburger for arbitrage etc and then betburger via oddsmarket sends a notification to the bookmaker, that this player is a smart player. This is genious...
betburger is no1, but ok this not fair. I guess they dont exchange ips etc with the bookmakers.

Re: Betburger collaborates with Bookmakers
Since, June-July, Codere is simply impossible to arb. Both online and offline.
As i told before in another thread, i understand this movement from a business perspective, but, soon or later, they will have to choose. From the jobs offered in the last months, and the path that they are following recently there is no doubt that they will continue through this way. We have to understand as well that the number of subscriptions are declining slowly. They had to raise the prices in 2020-21 if i remember well, in order to cover the loss of customers.
Later they launch the valuebet section, and later mix everything acting as another encover way to raise the prices again.
I think they continue losing clients slowly month after month.
So, now, or they raise the prices again, or they find new clients. There is no other choice.
From Sergii perspective, he has more than 30 people working on it, most of them working and living under a lot of pressure because of actual circunstances that everyone knows and he has to take care of them. It's his responsability as an owner and he cannot evade it. And his workers go first over customers. I understand that.
Of course, the money is another important factor here. Bookmakers pay much more than us.
The last factor is trying to find new challenges.
So a mix of this three factors explains this movement.
From customers perspective, this movement is a shot in the liver depending on where they live. Some of them will suffer more or less depending on which agreements they sign.
From an ethic perspective it has some challenges as well. Customers and bookmakers are by definition "enemies". We are in contrary sides in this game. So it's difficult to stay in the middle.
I hope that the CEO and the owner evaluated all of this before to take this decision.

Re: Betburger collaborates with Bookmakers
It's simple: they know very well that some customers can't stop using their service, even if they raise prices or make other changes, particularly due to the lack of competition. For some time now, they've been pursuing a strategy based on an unhealthy business model, where their sole objective is to make more money, completely disregarding individual customers. Partnering with bookmakers without informing anyone is clearly a sign of disrespect for every customer, because without their customers, they are nothing.

I wrote several times back in time in 2018-2019 that Betburger was getting ridiculous and more and more subscribers were leaving. They kept raising prices pretending to improve service, while in reality it was going more and more down and the price raisal was done with the only intention to keep the same level of profits.Personally, i stopped using it in early 2019, since it simply became useless and a waste of time.
Re: Betburger collaborates with Bookmakers
What statement do you expect from a fool who does not even try to hide his real name at Oddsmarket website?!

I thought it was because a wrong bookie so I've removed book 1: same mess, went for the second, again. Then I removed another one but the super arbs were still there.
5 of 9 bookies I currently use are completely wrong for hours today.
****(a couple of them have their own problems so no BB fault but on weekend the service is not good)

- Bookmakers have been using our scanner almost since its launch in 2014. After the launch of the API in 2020, they've been using it as well. Therefore, a separate API for bookmakers cannot be considered something of a game changer. It's actually the same data they had access to before but in a different format and with a different pricing model.
- We are not the only provider of such data for bookmakers on the market. Unfortunately, our position not to provide it to bookmakers would not deprive them of this data.
- These data are not key when the bookmaker makes a decision to block or limit a player. They are exclusively auxiliary and only complement the comprehensive risk management system of the bookmaker. Meaning without it bookmakers will still continue to block and limit risky players.
We are interested in building an ecosystem of sports betting products. Therefore, we would never launch a new product that would pose a significant threat to an existing one. This is not in our interests at all, as it does not contribute to the sustainable development of our product portfolio as a whole.
Most importantly, bookmakers never had and never will have any information about BetBurger users!
Re: Betburger collaborates with Bookmakers
Regarding our bookmaker-oriented product line. In fact, nothing big has happened here that poses a significant threat to BetBurger users. And here's why.Artu wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 5:42 pmHi
