Betfair against traders?

Mon Oct 25, 2021 9:34 am

I focus on trading football mainly. What I noticed recently is BetFair suspending for good matches heavily traded (minor leagues), a lot more compared to other games. Suspending them around 20-40 minute and they stay suspended untill final time giving no opportunity to hedge any trades there. Thought it is coincidence at first but then on a very quiet day I spotted three games where 50k-100k was traded, suspended in exactly same pattern. Same story few days later, two havily traded games pulled for good. Why would they care you would ask, considering crap liquidity there lately, they should be happy of decent comission payed from such games and trades.

I rarely see any game suspended for no reason until KO (if any really). Asked them about it and got "technical issues" answer which is nonsense imo, they got plenty of matches to suspend but picking these ones only.

I read about BetFair drastically changing their policy recently but this is something new, didnt expect such attitude. Read some theories that they sabotage exchange for purpose to get rid of traders and have mug bettors moved to Sportsbook, would laugh hearing such stories before but not anymore.

Betfair is utter shit to the point of being unusable.

Exchange goes down frequently and now they are not turning matches in play on time and voiding bets matched after the kick off. Cost me £100+. Really not pleased and have vowed to myself to not use them again unless I have no other option.

Add to that their customer service is non existent when you find yourself on the wrong end of one of these voids. No telephone number, no email address, only a shitty Live Chat that keeps you waiting 1/2 hour for a reply and take no responsibility for their errors.

I believe they really having some sort of technical issues ... many can happen, but one of them is the really delayed stream.
There is a huge number of matches that they constantly suspend late and then try to void and correct ,thought all the mach ... till they give up i suppose :)

Some of the errors by the way in late suspend are not even corrected ... really many actually , you have ta talk a lot to them and in twiter to void bets (because normal chat is useless - like they are robots with bad programing) .
I think some of the matches yo are talking is the ones that people have very early stream compare to them.

Been there. Was promised on Live Chat they will get in touch within 48 hrs, no one spoke to me in two weeks. Sent them few e-mails but no response at all, not even "stop bothering us we dont care". Read some advices that people emailed Peter Jackson who immediately passed the case to relevant department and sorted them. Got no hopes really after them ignoring me completely. Was a bit desperate being honest, treating this as last resort, sent an email to Peter late afternoon so would expect no one would care until morning. Got response within an hour from Compliant Executive who sorted my case almost immediately, yeah Betfair customer service is a crap but Peter Jackson is unbelieveable for sure.
