Betfair exchange or ... other?

Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:50 pm

If you had the option to choose between Betfair exchange (via VPN because of restrictions) and Piwi or OrbitX (without vpn via Asiaconnect) what do you prefer and why?
I need it for my value betting in horse racing with an average of 100 bets per day.

Thanks in advance.

Decent discussion there already and Im pretty sure almost - if not everything - is said considering recent alternatives available. Not many anyway.

If you can use Betfair I wouldnt even consider piwi or orbit. Betfair is Betfair, they are not perfect, they got issues but wouldnt even compare them to piwi with their shady T&S or orbit who take players positions so they wont be happy of having winning customers long run. Will pick Betfair with no hesitation.

I would definitely choose Betfair if I could. I have to say Orbit isn't a bad alternative for me so far, but there are a lot of stories about accounts being closed for no good reason and I have always in the back of my mind it can happen to me too. But if you don't mind me asking. How will you able to use Betfair? Even if you can use a VPN you'll need to pass the KYC and provide a identity document and proof of address.

Hi,

Betdaqs horse racing liquidity is very decent and I have it on good authority they will be significantly expanding their accepted territories list after their recent move to independence.

BF account already exists (fully verified) because a very good friend of me lives in UK.
My problem is that I place bets almost all day (around 100bets/day). I'm not all the the time at home in front of a PC. Bets placed even when I'm outside from my mobile. Even I can use vpn at mobile it's not so easy to connect every 5 minutes while I'm walking or driving or working at the office.
That's the reason I'm looking for alternatives (as Asiaconnect with Piwi or OrbitX) because there I can have access without vpn.
My worries has to do mostly with odds or liquidity... Will be the same as BF??

What do you mean by "move to independence"?

I understand. I wish I had a friend in the UK who could provide me with an account lol. But I think you give the answer partly yourself already. If you need to place bets and don;t have access to VPN all the time than maybe Orbit is a better choice for you in this case. Maybe you can also use both accounts? Betfair to use when you are at home and Orbit when you're not? As I said, even though Orbit is a good alternative for me so far, the site and site functionally for me can't compare to Betfairs. I can't tell you much about the liquidity though since I mostly bet on low(er) tier tennis tournaments and there is hardly liquidity in there anyway. For what it's worth, I didn't recognize any difference in there. Good luck!

Ladbrokes controlled Betdaq for 8 years i.e 2013-2021. The old owner repurchased Betdaq from Ladbrokes recently.

Betfair finally seems to have some real competition. Decentralized, crypto based exchanges will be launching this year.

Here's a screenshot from 1 such decentralized, crypto exchange.

I truly hope they succeed. These bloodthirsty Bookmakers need some real competition.

Using a VPN to access Betfair or any other bookmaker or exchange comes with significant risks.
You might want to read: betfair-vpn-t6914/82639#p82639
This risk is eliminated with Orbit.

I choose.... Orbit, Piwi (via Asianconnect) is the only way.
The risk with vpn is too much for me.
