Re: Betfair
Betfair is back now. What happened really?
From betfair customer services:
"As a result of a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack on our services, customers were unable to access the site. This started intermittently, but then increased to impact all of our products.
This type of malicious attack sometimes happens to companies, and is not isolated to Betfair. It takes time to defend against this type of incident. While our site is stable for now, we continue to monitor.
Rest assured that funds/account and data are secure."
What kind of people would do such a thing? Maybe angry customers raging over the worsen commissionrates

I would like to remind you of a similar attack in NT last week, and an attack in arbusers 20 days ago.

Re: Betfair
Betfair has had many crashes over the last 2-3 weeks. For an arber a crash at the wrong moment can be a disaster! Luckily I have avoided having bets where I dont know if they have been matched and games going in play, but im sure its only a matter of time. Then your in the lap of the gods as to whether you suffer a 4 figure loss.

I've also noticed that Betfair has been a bit unstable lately, so we arbers better watch out.
Re: Betfair
Yes, thats a risk of course. But you can always cover the bet on a soft bookie or whatever bookie you got. That will be at a lower and quite bad odds, but still, better than nothing.dealer wins wrote: Betfair has had many crashes over the last 2-3 weeks.
