Hi everyone,
I've been doing arbitrage betting for 2 years and currently making around 3000$ per month in Hungary, but the limits are coming altough im using multiple accounts. I'm considering moving to the UK to continue this, but I'm not sure yet. In hungary, we only have 2 soft bookie. lol
A few things I'm curious about:
Are UK bookies more tolerant of arbers compared to EU ones?
How strict are the account limitations and closures?
What are the biggest challenges of arbing in the UK?
Is the tax situation better or worse than in the EU?
If anyone has experience or insights, I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks!
Considering moving to the UK for arbing – Worth it?

Re: Considering moving to the UK for arbing – Worth it?
I’m wondering how effective arbing is going to be with the PSD2 system.

I always was wondering over scalability in each business I was analysing.
You may arb, and cash profits out , but one day your bookmaker may use the tool and get frozen your hard-made profits. I also was surprised with the open banking tool which technically is available for all bookies, thus one question is arising, will it be worthy in the long term?

When you say moving there, Are you talking about moving physically?Nagy Attila wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 10:32 amHi everyone,

It is impossible to open accounts in a UK bookmaker from home.

I think that we could open accounts in many countries. I already used UK accounts from my country. But things could change during these last years.Nagy Attila wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 9:20 amIt is impossible to open accounts in a UK bookmaker from home.

I stop here, there is no point in providing further information, there are too many bad actors in the Business.
And ofcourse - you pulled the "arbitrage bull%%t" stunt. Most of us are well aware how sausages are made, so just be honest, ask the right/true questions. Then, and only then you will find the right answers - how long an UK holds against arbs, how easy/hard is to acquire UK based account / which bookmaker, limits/offers, verification processes.

Yes it is possible. CharlieSheen99 hinted in his posts the right way. This is the easy part. Passing KYC is second challenge, Tax and capitals movements are the final hurdle.Nagy Attila wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 9:20 amIt is impossible to open accounts in a UK bookmaker from home.
