Hello all, I have been looking desperately for a direct betfair account, i am from UAE and betfair stopped offering services in the region, I was a FT cricket trader before that happened and now unfortunately a decent chunk of my livlihood depends on that, i am mostly a scalper and need trading software to do that and therefore orbit/fairexchange does not suffice
Is there anyone here who was able to successfully get a direct account with betfair using any of the brokers OR is there any other way around it ?
I will really appreciate any help at all
PS i already have a orbitx account but as i mentioned I need to have access to trading software in order to execute my strategies.
Thanks

Re: Direct Betfair Account
I think you should start thinking about moving to another country where Betfair is allowed. There are reasons why Betfair and Orbit is not allowing you to use your trading software. Why don't you start thinking about these reasons? So whoever offers you a substitute goes against Betfair will, and guess who is going to lose in the end. Do you think Betfair will lose? Do you think the agent will lose? Or do you think that you will lose?

Hi, Betfair is not operating in his country.. i Think there is a missunderstanding on your side, neopas.
Anyway, you have to find some friends in UK or in countries where Betfair is allowed and use VPS.. for example check here: https://www.betangel.com/vps/

@ Varun,
You are lucky to see quality cricket from time to time in some tournaments organized in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, including players from India, Pakistan, England and West Indies.
If you love and understand that game and if you watch live games, you could create a long-term winning concept on how to not use odds alert services and trading software at all. Informed market position decisions on your part based on the quality of the game, players and coaches are better than simply chasing the aforementioned services and software. In the medium to long term, you'll be pretty good that way, provided that you're mastered that approach.
Plenty of other sports are also included in this theory, of course.

Re: Direct Betfair Account
If direct BF etc is something u need only thing i can suggest is relocate to country where its available. For exchanges UK is king as there u can get 2% BF + you have other alternatives in case of emergency.
I highly suggest to be careful using some tricks as BF can do some random checks that i personally have experienced.
Im living in country where BF is accepted and im fully verified. One random day they just restriced my access and wanted me to pass another KYC. Took me only ~30 minutes to pass as im legit user and no problem at all with those things Why they did it i have no clue but if you are trying to use some schemes things can turn ugly for you. Good luck

that's the situation I have. Everything in my account is legit, but they randomly asked for proof of address of a place I do not live on anymore. so I as trying to avoid having to go to the UK or Malta and rent an apartment for 6 months just to have an utility bill to send them. But I haven't found a good alternative yet.

Re: Direct Betfair Account
Only an original Betfair account with a 2% commission is a way to go. With Orbit, you never know when they will accuse you of something or steal your hard-earned money, there are a lot of horror stories (agents won't do a shit to help you), not to mention horse racing lay option, etc.

Re: Direct Betfair Account
Theres already direct discussion in here around Betfair versus using Orbit exchange.
There’s mentions of “checks” around Betfair.
Can I ask if anyone is aware of issues for Premium Charge players simply opening an Orbit through an agent to start a fresh betfair account - whilst clearly accepting the agent risk.
I’m not talking in terms of tech risks or issues, we are all capable around IP addresses and our machine security.
But in terms of the agent. Does Betfair have full visibility of all white label users and therefore a veto over Premium Charge players disappearing to use an agent.

Re: Direct Betfair Account
It's a good question and something I've thought about quite a bit.
A huge winner on BF eligible for PC just going to orbit seems like a complete circumvention which they have terms specifically designed to counter.
Seeing as orbit / the agents take on risk themselves then one of two things will quickly happen to the player.
A: Your winnings will alert the agent to your status as a sharp and either ban you or increase your commission enough to erode the edge.
B: Your winnings will alert the agent to your status as a sharp and they will step away from the risk and push all your money onto BF directly. BF will then notice the sub account winning (all these subs will be monitored closely anyways being of spawned of a broker agents master, I.e expected to lose) BF will then tell the agent to disincentivise the player with methods already outlined in scenario A
It's almost inconceivable that the agents and BF don't have open and transparent data sharing re clients. For both compliance and commercial reasons.

Thanks for the reply.
Lets be honest. Anyone currently in the Premium Charge position and trying to execute via Orbit / Agent will just want to keep their head down and avoid scrutiny.
As with my nightmare odyssey at 1xBet white labels I will have to try this myself and report the fallout.
