Re: gobetgo.com
Hi Guys,
I'm new to this form. I felt I should take time out to comment on this subject because this form is the reason I got my money out in time. Well long story short I used GBG. I deposited 200 EUR, ended up losing 80. As soon as I started to see negative comments about them I asked for a withdrawl of the remaining 120. 2 days later; 2 days before Christmas, I received a call from a blocked number. The guy on the other end sounded Indian. He asked me about which email I used to sign up and personal info. He then asked what my last bet was and if it won. He ended by saying that they would process the withdrawal and to expect it the same day. I just thought it was weird that he would call for such a low amount.

Re: gobetgo.com
yorkjoss, there are a lot of victims here because gbg had a good marketing policy and a well executed plan.
A network of trusted sites promoted them heavily (including alert services). Plus, for some months they paid properly and fast big amounts, so there were enough members that held them as reliable. Back in September or October there were few reasons not to trust them, other than the "they can't be as reliable as pinnacle and sbobet" argument.
On the other hand, there weren't much reasons to use them with pinny and sbo/ibc around, unless someone was after deposit or affiliation abuse schemes and that's the main reason why I personally didn't use them except a "trial" one time deposit/withdrawal I did.

he mentioned managed to escape this, I agreed and pointed out the new traffic which has recently appeared,
I don't read or post on other sites, only arbusers, I and others posted warnings about Gobetgo from experience we had
in the past, if that influenced some Arbusers then that is very good, that was my intention,
the fact Gobetgo paid out initially, of course they would, I would not have been fooled by that, every scam pays out to begin
with, that is to be expected, what has happened with Gobetgo is exactly what I expected, now you say they had a well laid out
plan, I and others who steered clear of them did not see this well laid out plan, I saw lots of their promo's and literature and
saw no well laid out plan.
I know lots of people are affected here, lots of victims Sportoboy, I am well aware of this and they have my upmost sympathy,
I would hate to now be in their positition, to have my earnings stolen from me by these crooks, no one should mock, I do not
none of us arbers know what shocks may be in store for us in the future, for instance, we have funds all over the place, reading arbusers and the thoughts of experienced members is a big help in trying to avoid these pitfalls.

Re: gobetgo.com
I don't think they promoted themselves in other sites as much as here. I never saw their representative on SBR. When you welcome arbers and advertise that you don't limit you are inviting too many of the kind of players you cannot beat. You don't become Pinnacle or SBO overnight just by following their odds. You don't have their volume nor their risk management.
I think there was no plan to defraud anybody. They were just beaten by the players. Deposits stopped after a couple of serious complaints that were not from bonus hunters. Without new deposits they couldn't afford to pay so they disappeared. I agree with what BOOYAKA said.

We're saying the same thing actually. If they were able to act like a sharpbook, (and if they had enough capital in order to stay in the game) they would survive. Copying sharp books' model is not easy. Things were fine when they were offering high odds for hopeless outsiders and value bets we placed in softbookies keep winning, but some surprises/upsets happened and now I see they're unable to make any payout. After Celta Vigo beat Barca, my balance raised to 35k. Glad I made some withdrawals and I reduced my risk. You should always keep what you can afford to lose in these kinda books.BOOYAKA wrote:
Pinnacle, Sbobet, IBCbet and its clones are well established, successful bookmakers who have been in the industry for years.
These books have low maximum bets on early lines but you there you have gobetgo popping up from nowhere offering players 20k+ bets and giving even better odds if you are a VIP. It just makes no sense.
If you welcome arbitrage and don't know what you are doing you'll be bankrupt within a couple of weeks. To offer sharp lines means you have to be on the ball 24 hours a day to monitor the markets. The likes of pinnacle and the asian books have years of necessary expertise and their odds move relevantly to any bets they take from pro players.
How were they going to compete with the best bookmakers in the world because that's what they were trying to do. How were they going to make a profit with a 99% payout?
Just basic questions you could ask yourself were not easily answered.

Re: gobetgo.com
Looks like they closed site..
Dear players,
Our strategy to offer the best odds on the planet with very low margins did not prove to be a successful one, given the clientele we attracted and the payment processing and marketing costs we incurred. During the period of November/December there was a large withdrawal wave, which entirely emptied our company balances and as we stand, we are insolvent.
Therefore, we deeply regret to inform you, that as of today we are effectively closing GoBetGo.com.
Sincerely yours, GoBetGo Management.

Give it a try, let us know how it goes.
If the moral side of it doesnt bother you, think also of the possibility of stealing money from some wrong individuals?
Are you watching crime films?

gobetgo only has a few customers, likely most of them very sharp. they apparently (i never played there) move their odds on air, based on what other books are doing, not on the bets they were taking themselves. they don't actually move on liability, and, if i read some guy's posts here, they actually used arbers to hedge when they had too much exposure (no doubt at arbable prices). offering too high odds on hopeless outsides or dead-certain favourites doesn't matter; if your odds are too high long term you'll lose, you surely understand that. on top of this, they offered bonuses. nobody knew whether they had deep pockets (well we do now) and nobody really trusted them very much in the first place (which proved to be correct). on top of that they offered even low margin then pinn apparently..
many times a book has tried to copy pinnacle 1:1, and they have always failed, resulting in bankruptcy or a change of business model. there is no logic why this time would be different. you can't say: he, let's be the new pinnacle out of nowhere, you will fail.
Re: gobetgo.com
i disagree. pinnacle has an enormous amount of customers, some sharp, some not so sharp (this applies even more to sbo, ibc, who have an enormous amount of stupid money coming in from asia). they move their low-margin odds on volume. they haven't offered a bonus for many many years, it's well known they have very deep pockets and everybody trusts them completely, resulting in high balances on their website and no frequent withdrawals.Yngwie/Sawyer wrote: If they were able to act like a sharpbook, (and if they had enough capital in order to stay in the game) they would survive. My personal opinion is that they were con men. Why would they give 1000 bonuses. They had a competition on their web site; first player to bet 1 million receives 10,000. How could they afford these?
I am of the thinking they tried to attract as much deposits as possible and when the time is right claim bankruptcy and shut up shop.

think again, over the xmas holiday period they sent out enhanced deposit bonus emails, trying and in some cases no
doubt successfully to steal even more cash, these emails prove (if needed) what crooks Gobetgo were all along.
