There is the GREK ETF which has the top businesses in the greek stock market. But be aware that in this ETF the 35.69% consists of the major banks(Alpha bank 16.33%,Eurobank 6.68%,National Bank 6.36%,Piraeus Bank 6.32%).Also i would like to point something about the country because i am from Greece.I believe that this government will make the things that EU want(about privatization and other major things), but the country will only come bank when this government falls and the next government will reduce the taxation on corporations.Don't invest in Greece right now because things will get worse. There is no way to come back if the taxations doesn't not reduced.Every now and then a corporation closes or moves to a tax haven like Bulgaria or Cyprus.Because the costs of these moves for the corps are big, there is no way to come back in Greece if there is no structural change in taxation.

No bull market for as long as general index under red line. Elliott wave counting still intact.

This thread goes on for almost 8 years now. It is a beauty and a pleasure to read again today as it shows the quality of the analysis.
Today, we will speak about the future of the Greek stock market.

Before anything else, I must tell you, the Elliot wave counting for the Greek and the international stock markets are clearly showing that they are in different steps. The Greek stock market is about to close a grand supercycle that started in 1876. International stock markets are not closing any supercycle at this point.

Even though our ABC counting that started in 1999 remains intact, I must tell you that I m about to do some acrobatics with the counting of minor waves. You will notice a different counting in my following graphs. Why acrobatics?
Because as I already said, 7 years ago:
arbusers wrote: The Greek general index is distorted. Unfortunately, Elliott and Fibonacci would never imagine such a situation, when logic is replaced by deception.
The gravity of the participating stocks in the general index is in constant systole and diastole. Banks are participating with a gravity of 2-3%, while companies enlisted in foreign stock markets participate with a gravity of 15-20%.
That is why you will see my counting not following the Elliot wave theory because some waves are overlapping.

Here is the counting as I see it:

3 of 3 explanation Latest.png

The experienced eye of an Ellotician, would immediately ask ''why is that blue 3 there''? Let's focus on the black 3 wave as a total, and explain why I placed it there. Prepare for an apocalypse, never presented by anyone else.

ASE Grand Super Cycle Latest.png

According to Elliot wave theory, the 3rd wave of a 3rd wave is the one with the biggest volumes. Please notice the volumes under blue 3. Volumes are topping and that is why the 3 of 3 is there. Only afterward you can tell when volumes are topping. This is the period of real Greek bankruptcy, with capital controls, closed banks and of course a left government.

Continue reading my analysis on the next post.

Please read the previous post, it will help you understand the context.

So let's plot the future of the Greek stock market.
In the long run, it is awful, but until it becomes that ugly, it will offer some very nice chances to create profits and wealth.
We are in the final turn of the Black 3 wave. This will coincide with international markets, but please remember, we have different steps. So where will this black 3 wave end? It makes no sense counting the exact lengths of these huge waves and look for the exact bottoms. Another reason for not searching for a bottom is the distorted participation of stocks in the general Index.
We have done it successfully over time, but now I have to present a supercilium and not a bottom. I am looking for a value zone.
This value zone is between 300 and 400. My exact counting brings the end of the wave at 297, but as I said, it makes no sense using this figure. A value zone is something better to look in periods like this.
So here is the future of the Greek stock market as I imagine it:

What is going to happen Latest.png

If we get positions at the value zone described above, we will enjoy a perfect big black 4 rally that will last for a significant amount of time, and it will perform beyond expectations.

Of course, there is a big black 5 wave closing in, but we have years to describe it. The wave 5 will coincide with a huge disaster, probably a war or something equivalent that will change the face of Greece for centuries.

Thank you.

In case the value zone is reached, can you recommend a tracker (etf) that copies the exchange?  I seem to be unable to find any that do a decent job besides FR0010405431.

Instead of buying the index, it would be better to buy specific stocks. I m always using my bank account for stock market transactions, but if you are looking for a platform, I would first take a look at Saxo.
In case you are wondering, I will present scenarios for a number of Greek stocks in the future. However, 8 years after the beginning of this thread, I m still looking at the list of stocks presented in the opening post.

The Greek Stock Market is today breaking the 200 days Moving Average.
We are in a big wave 4. And we started wave 3 expected to bring the General Index to much higher prices, namely 770 if wave 3 is equal to wave 1, or most probably to 905 if wave 3 is equal to 1.618 of wave 1.

We are very happy, after 8 years since our first post in this thread, to see 8 out of 9 of our selected stocks, to outperform the general index.

I was again reading this thread two days ago. :D :D

When do you expect the end of the wave 4 and the final disaster of the wave 5?

It is too early to say. It might take years.
We have 3,4,5 blues to complete the 4th wave, and then a 5 black.
4th waves can be very violent.

We explained very well why the Greek stock market might be an anomaly when implementing the Elliott wave principle. We have to be very creative and accept significant aberrations. This is terra incognita for everyone. The market made ridiculous all analysts. But not us.

The General Index already gave us the first target of wave 3, which is typically equal to wave 1. However, the momentum is so strong that no breaths were needed at 770. We are now galloping for the next target of 915.

This wave 4 is so strong that makes me believe we should adopt a different counting for its minor and intermediate components. We have the luxury of time, and the luxury of our previous profits. Enjoy the ride at the crest of the tidal wave.

This targeted is now achieved.

Today, I am stopping this thread for the reasons that I explained.

Looking back at this thread that stayed alive for 9 years, I consider it as the most valuable thread we ever had in our forum. I hope it helped you make money as the Greek stock market has been so generous to us.

Good luck from now on.
