Greetings

Wed Jun 25, 2014 12:01 am

Hello everyone I have recently discovered the world of arbing after betting for the first time in my life on FIFA and i'm still kind of in dis belief of its existence.

Anyway I was wondering if its possible say for example you deposit a large sum of funds into one of your betting accounts , which then gets you flagged so they restrict you or limit your bets , which would be bad for you because instead of using said sum of money on the arb or bets you wanted your now restricted and unable to withdraw the funds since you haven't washed it yet.

Is that scenario possible or am I over thinking this?  :o

I found a nice arb and basically i want to put a large portion of my funds on it because its got stakes in win-draw-lose so .. but as I mention i'm worried that once i make the deposit I will get restricted and therefore leaving my funds stuck in the account. Maybe its worth mentioning this bookie is sportsbet.

Thanks for having the patience.

See'ya around.

Yes, this scenario happens very often.
But I don't know if it will happen at sportbet, I haven't used it.

Always I deposit a little money first in a new bookie, about 50euro.
Make a little arb, if it lose, deposit anther 50 euro.
And if it wins, make a half withdraw, and finish all the verification process.
After verification, I start arbing notoriously....:)

If it happened, you have to contact them with live chat or email, ask withdraw with fee about 3~5%.

I had this problem at SportsBet recently. (SportsBet.au, Rules might be different in your country.)

I deposited a reasonable sum in the hope to bet it all on one event and claim their nice first bet match bonus offer.
I tried to put the bet on some big outsiders, but kept getting offered a reduced stake, around $200 (which would in turn reduce my first bet bonus)

After a few failed attempts to place the whole amount on rank outsiders, I decided to put it on a more reasonable outcome, England to win vs Italy. Lo and behold, i'm limited and can only place $5 on England to win.

I asked live chat if i could withdraw my initial deposit, and kept getting the run around, saying I need to turn over the deposit once.
Here is a funny little exert of my live chat with a Sportsbet employee.

"Me: I deposited the money with the understanding I would be able to make bets with it
Me: Yet I try to bet on the World Cup matches and can only bet 5dollars at a time.
Me: So effectively SportsBet is Stealing my $650 deposit
Phuong: You can have your own selections of any amount.
Phuong: We don't set limits on customers.:o :o :o :o

In the end I was forced to place many many small arbs to turn over the whole amount. Took me a few days, but I did come out $20 ahead  :)
I remember another thread on a similar topic, if you're worried have a search for it and see what others said there.
