Hi, I'm looking for historical player prop odds for backtesting. I currently know of some websites that give that information but the data they have is not perfect and also free which might explain why it's unreliable. I am ready to pay for the data if it is quality. The player props I'm most interested in are points, rebounds and assists
I know that indatabet.com seems to have NBA data but they are not very clear about what they have. I have sent them an email requesting more information
I also read about betfair having historical data. I can't access betfair from where I live but I was able to see that they do offer NBA player prop by using a VPN but I was not able to create an account to see what their historical data offering was.
Thanks,

Re: Historical NBA player prop odds
A little update, indatabet responded to me pretty quickly and they do not have NBA player prop data. For betfair I tried again using VPNs and was able to create an account and download historical odds. The historical odds you can download are hard to read and I did not use any wrapper or software to read them but from looking they do not have a lot of player prop history. They have maybe 1-2 player per game and only points. This is consistent with what you can see for current games. The complete player prop they have is on the sportsbook side and not the marketplace. They seem to have historical data of the marketplace only.

Re: Historical NBA player prop odds
Idk if it’ll help ya or not but The Action Network app has the closing odds of all player props for major sports going back quite a ways. You can find player Prop odds from Pinnacle, BetCris, etc.

A long time ago I used their subdomain dedicated to historical data. As far as I recall they allowed me to download the horse racing data I required (Betfair Starting Prices for each track and each race) but access to this data was possible if you had points accumulated by actively using their site. These points were somehow related to the commission generated.
Another feature here was the unusually formatted data. I used some tricks in the Open Office program to read this data.
I don't know the current situation in 2023, better ask them directly to give you some data.
