Horse Racing Arbs

Tue Sep 13, 2011 12:19 am

Hi again, I have only been arbing on football and the occasional tennis match or rugby but have been looking at a few horse racing possibilities lately just to change things up a little. One thing that is putting me off is that before I started arbing I did a lot of reading on forums like these and one thing stuck in my mind when someone wrote 'don't try arbing on horses'. I can't remember where I read it now but I'm 80% sure it was on the money saving site. It may also have just been refering to bonus scalping but I'm not sure. Anyway, I just wanted to ask you guys why someone would advise against horse racing arbitrage and if any of you have any advice about it?  Many thanks for your time

I think you will be limited in no time, when you are not from uk. Probably over 80% of people not living in the uk, who bet on horse races, are arbers and the bookies know that too. So its not a good idea to arb on horses, at least in my experience.

It is extremely easy to find arbs manually in horse racing.
Bookmakers like betoto bwin ladbrokes bet365 etc make big mistakes. In reality, they can't protect themsleves against arbers who take advantage od horse racing events. Furthermore, their liquidity is very low, and they can't absorb big action
The only measure they can take, is limit players asap. And this is what they do.
Arbing in horse racings, is the fastest way to become limited.

Thanks for your replies. I am from the UK but I will steer well clear of horse racing after your replies. I appreciate your time thanks

I've arbed for months at the big bookies (mainly Ladbrokes, bet365, WH, boyle) before I was arbed.

Watch out for r4 rule
