OK, here is the situation as it is now:
-BetBurger going down the cliff. The service is not what it used to be. Many weekends when we need the maximum firepower we only have a water pistol
-RebelBetting stable service but low quality in terms of speed. Some times I have the feeling that they don't cover certain markets at all.
-BetOnValue what can I say here? It depends on where you come from. Some countries are luckier than others with them.
-OddStorm should add more sports/markets. They have a lot of jobs to do.
-Arbmate really what is the difference with Oddstrom. Could someone say?
-BetSlayer do they know there is life outside the UK? It seems that all the services are built for retired UK pensioners. I doubt they have their own scrapping system. Most probably they copy other services.
The situation is very sad, when you have money to spend and all offered services are just shit.y

Why don't you share for example what do expect these services to have in addition and what is the job that should be done. What the perfect alert service looks like for you? Because no alert service could please everyone needs.

Perfect service is Arbmate payment style. Arbmate speed and accuracy. Betburger bookies, sports and markets. If this two fuse together would be the best alert service.

Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
Hmm interesting, I find Betburger way faster and more accurate than Arbmate. In fact Arbmate was quite disappointing for me. I bought subscription with default bookmakers and to my disappointment there were very few arbs throughout whole week. On the other hand BetBurger always has plenty of arbs. Also speed and accuracy was better with BetBurger. However, I use them only for value betting with Bet365, so I gues it depends on what bookmakers you use. But I agree with Arbmate payment style. Definitely would be cool if other alert services adopted similar style.Wolfie wrote: Perfect service is Arbmate payment style. Arbmate speed and accuracy. Betburger bookies, sports and markets. Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
Is it still "possible" to use these services for value betting?
I mean these days aren't value bets caught by bots as they appear?
Reading the forum and with my really little experience I have this idea that will require a huge amount of time (10 or more hours) in front of my laptop to place few value bets.
PS only talking about value bets (not arbing)

Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
Do you live or prematch value bet ? And what configuration do you use on betburger, only against sharps or market average against many bookies ?mr_lucky wrote: I use them only for value betting with Bet365

Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
I only do prematch value bets, I tried live betting with BetBurger as well but to me it felt like wasting money. Too many errors, odds change too fast, just wasn't for me. Prematch on the other hand usually worked really well for me with them. Tried both sharps and market average against many bookies, both seemed to be fast enough and accurate at least better than other services

Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
hehe, I found your summary of the alert service quite amusing
The issue is that arb opportunities are getting slim as the efficiency improvements implemented by bookies/traders continue to advance. What Arbers really need is to find an edge surrounding arb bettings. For example, value bets.
Another one to tie in with arbing is to do some matched betting. See where I'm going here?
Which country are you residing in? I'm in the UK and I know those who have access to Pinnacle sports will mainly benefit as arbers as Pinnacle promote arbing! Shame I can't get an account with them though
We do need a change, people are losing to the bookies all the time.

Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
The alert services scene is in a stalemate. I m fed up with the same services, again and again, year after year. All I m saying is that we didn't see any breakthrough these last years. Not only that, but we lost Betlinker. I wonder if there is any space for a new service.

This is the time when a new credible alert service is needed the most to disrupt the market.

Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
A new alert service would be profitable?
Each year are less arbers than before, and the % of arbs is decresing. In some years, even BB could not be profitable.
I don't know their numbers, but i know very well our market.
In the coming years we will see alert services prices in-crescendo, and some of them leaving the market.

Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
I don't see possibility to disrupt the market.
I think that betburger made almost the best alert service possible.
Of course, in theory, someone could scrap the websites with more speed, or scrap more and more bookmakers, or do a lot more of cross markets....., but in general lines, I think that Betburger has the best software possible.

Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
I always wonder why you keep BetSlayer in the list of the supported alert services.
This service is almost dead, and very UK centric. I really don't see any interest from the community.
Maybe consider to oust them?

Re: Something needs to be done with the alert services
when there's not many football matches being played alert services perform better, when busy and they're covering Polish women's leauge, Bhutan first division and the like then they can't cope, if they didn't try to cover too much they would be much better value.
Investing in more powerful servers or only covering what their existing servers are capable of seems the answer but seems they want maximum customers for least investment and it's a business model destined to fail, sad thing is when they work well it's very impressive.
I fondly remember an excellent pre-match alert service Beatbookies, good as it was, it and it's Finish developer Jari disappeared and before that arbitragepro long gone, the same fate will befall Betburger, Arbmate, Oddstorm I believe unless they invest and improve, they are surviving right now as a shit alert service is better than no alert service.
