Real Estate: Qatari emir buys six Greek islands

From the Guardian (March 4, 2013): http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/mar/04/qatar-emir-buys-six-greek-islands

Real fitting (to rub more salt in the wound) the news came out 100 years to the day after the Greek victory over the Ottomans at Bizani and the fall of Ioannina (March 4-6, 1913).

Another bit of history to remember is Nikephoros II Phokas's capaign in 960-961 to reconquer Crete after 135 years of Arab control as a sort of 'pirate emirate'.

So is it a good time to buy Ionian and Aegean real estate for setting up new emirates complete with grand mosques and more Qatar Foundation propaganda on tv and soccer jerseys?
