Sportsbet

Thu May 09, 2013 3:27 pm

Hello,

I have not found a review of this bookmaker in the 'Bookies Info' section.
I am interested if there is another bookmaker with the same lines as this one. It appears to have interesting odds.

Thank you.

I am Australian so use them frequently. Sportsbet, like all Australian bookies, are very reliable. But they will limit you within a month like all soft bookmakers. Sportsbet also own IASbet.com so the lines are identical. If you get limited at one then you are automatically limited at the other. However, if you setup a new account at each you can extract the full bonus at both and easily finish ROR before limitations come.

I recommend them - much value to be found. Many of the arbs are against Pinnacle and Bet365.

Oh, and lastly, once you are limited with Sportsbet/IASbet then you should still receive regular $100-$300 reload bonuses. I always extract full value out of these using a back/lay arbitrage on the horses and Betfair. It seems that if you are limited on sports you are not at all limited on horses (two different business divisions) and vice versa.

Jo_bab thank you very much for this info. There is value in your post.
Would you like to compile reviews on all Australian bookmakers? This would be a great input in the bookies info section.
Thank you.

hello everyone,

thank you for your reactions and info provided.
I have discovered them looking at the surebet list provided by oddstorm in the menu above.
Based on the description of this bookie I assume that once limited, arbing is pretty much over since its 'brother' is also limiting.

All books from Australia request this kind of paperwork.

I don't think a recreational player would ever bother to send certified documents. These books must be conditioned to expect sharp action from European players and therefore limits should come much faster.

Even Betfair does not allow to bet on Australian markets if you don't send this paperwork. Usually not a problem, except for the Australian open. Last January I placed a bet on Pinnacle and couldn´t lay on Betfair because I didn't know this rule. Fortunately I found similar odds on Betdaq to cover the arb.
