Arbing from Spain ?

Fri Sep 11, 2015 5:05 pm

I tried searching this on the internet but couldn't find anything conclusive.

I know in Germany you have to pay 5% on your winnings, deducted by the bookmaker. In other countries you have to go and pay the taxes yourself. How about in Spain ?

Are there any taxes to be payed by spanish customers ?

I'm curious about that too)

Let us hear you spaniards!

Btw, Archi. In Germany, you don't have to pay %5 on your winnings in ALL bookmakers as I know? Most bookmakers require %5 but there's bookmakers that don't cut% tax? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I would like to know, also.
During registration you need to provide the DNI/NIE  (ID National Card number). So I do not know if you need to pay tax.

Hey, I'm new to the forum and I have just registered as this thread is affects me.

I can tell you that you should pay taxes if you live in Spain.

In fact, until last year you would pay for your earnings (without being able to deduct the loss from the losing bets), making if awful for arbers.

Since 2014 you pay between 20-24% from your ROI, which is still not too good.

Also take into account that you only have around 10 bookies who legally operate here, and 5 of them are unibet clones...

Forgot to mention the good news, which is the fresh new Betfair exchange (started two weeks ago).

It still has low liquidity, but it does not have the same odds as the .com, so might be good news in the future (although 6.5% fee)

Thanks middler for the information. It seems that Betfair have only national liquidity. Here in Portugal we hope can get international liquidity

Hi rapsternapster,

I personally know Argentina's situation, and let me tell you that arbing as people know it is not the real business down there. Gambling/betting works in a very different way. But that is totally out of this topic.

Thanks for your quick reply. Another question i'd like to ask is: how long does it take to limit your bet365 and/or bwin account ? I know it differs all the time, but I'd like to have an idea of one account's lifespan.

Wish you all the best.

b365 lasted around 3 weeks, placing +10 arbs a day.
My case with bwin is not the normal one, as i used to gmable in their casino long time ago, and i was self excluded after losing some money at their roulette... Just a few months ago i could start betting again, and i haven't been limited yet. However, i only place 1-5 arbs a day there.
