I was talking with @Arbusers and he admitted, that there is not much said about betting in France. I was trying to get some informations, but more or less, those informations were not useful. I am trying with this thread for last time.. I heard that it's almost impossible to arb there, but I don't know why exactly? For example I was able to login to bookmakers like volcano, wwin, pinnacle, and also 1xbet there, and had zero problems with that. Not sure about other ones, but I can see that they have unibet.fr, which could be really useful! Or not?
I started with value betting so I won't bet big amounts on those vb, but anyway. I am making progress with them and I want to continue with them. Soon I will go back to this country, and I am wondering if anyone knows anything about betting there? I would really appreciate any informations for that country..
p.s. I found that on wikipedia:
And I also found out that:There are 3 types of licenses for the 3 types of online gambling activities allowed by the French gambling law:[11]
online sports betting (live betting, pool betting and fixed odds betting)
online horse race betting (pool betting)
online poker games (Texas Hold'em and Omaha Poker 4)
Casino games as well as spread betting and betting exchange[9] are not licensed, because the lawmakers said they were too addictive. Poker is one of the games played at casinos, but it is legal, because the outcome of the game depends on the skill of the player, who can alternate their strategy depending on the game situation. [12]
Online gambling in France was legalised just before the World Cup 2010. As a result, gamblers opened over 1.2 million accounts on licensed sites in the first month. They bet €83 million which was almost 2 times more than during the same period in 2009, when the only option for legal online betting was turning to state-owned betting websites.[13]
Plus:You cannot use your foreign bookmaker account in France because you are redirected to the .fr website, due to the French law.
If you already have a foreign account with a bookmaker, you will have to open a new French account. In order to do that, you will have to give a copy of your id and your bank account (none of them is required to be French, it is just a security question). You will be able to play to your French bet account back in your country (the .fr websites are available from other places). The good news is that you will be able to obtain new welcome bonus
It doesn't look so bad for now.. but again, I hope that anyone will be able to help me. At least a littleFrance is a great country to live if you enjoy betting online. Recreational gamblers are not taxed and sports betting, horse race (turf) betting, and poker online are legal when using French licensed websites. Some of the largest operators from Europe have a licence, and state owned PMU has their own gambling site pmu.fr as well. In this article I’ll cover using French licensed sites, the most popular sports available for online betting, and discuss history and betting laws. First, below is a list of our favourite online bookmakers that are fully legal in France.
Kind regards!
