Smart Live Gaming Closed?

Sun Aug 28, 2016 11:35 pm

Anyone else who has been fucked by this bookie?
Just noticed they closed the site and it looks like another GoBetGo....

So what can we do?

Looking at that thread on AskGamblers, it doesn't look good at all but all you can do is put as much pressure on as possible by pursuing through SBR, IBAS, UK Gambling Commission, Small Claims Court, Action Fraud, Companies House, Oddsmatrix who provided the software platform to Smart Live, contact Skrill, Neteller, card provider or whoever you did deposits with and see if you can do a chargeback or anything, e-mail them on finance@smartlivecasino.com which is on the AskGamblers thread, contact Smart Live on Twitter and other social media and put the word around on Twitter and other social media.

You're basically in a pretty dire state if you're owed money by this mob given the situation as it is, but all you can do is to put as much continued pressure as you can on them through the avenues I mentioned previously and see how you get on.

Well, they have stolen from me around 15k. They told me my account has been flagged and it is connected to other users. i said ok. I will call IBAS, UK GC. I have written to UK GC they do not resolve things, so you must write to 3rd party mediator like IBAS. OK i wrote to IBAS.  Before this i emailed with SLC a lot. And they sent me their "proof" my account had for small amount of time same ip as some other but i use mac - safari other used windows google chrome. I said it can be as i got dynamic ip address but look completely different pc, no same bets.  Also day after my account has been suspended they have written in T&C that you can't have same IP and only 1 account per IP or so. But i got photo of T&C of the day before where this was not. But IBAS after 3 months did nothing. Then i found one guy who worked closely with IBAS to deal with them on my behalf. IBAS reopened my case and after YEAR!!! they told me SLC is right according to their t&c. So you can write them but they will do nothing. Also with SBR they won't even talk for sure.  Sorry man

PS. If you are from UK you can go to penny court as my guy told me, but then don't write to IBAS. Because court will just look how IBAS ruled.

damn, I'm sorry for that roger. it is just an absolute shame the way regulatory authorities once and again do not act or act in favour of bookies... happens all the time, even when their claims are unfounded in the best case, or, for the most part, just plain theft

is there really nothing we can do? we certainly need to, somehow, grow stronger as a community and fight to stop these scam-bookies, dubious odds corrections, account limitation... and all the other bs we stand from books

not a new issue, I know I'm not saying anything new... wtf I'm just pissed >:(

Well what i think is best if it is your account and bookie is from your country like if you are from UK and have problem with smartlive just try to take them to court. I never heard about anyone to do this.  But next time this will happen i will definitely try to do it.

Because this was second time. Before this i lost about 20k in other bookie. But shady one. If you are from EU and they got license there you got good chance to take them to court.  So if it is UK license , Malta and so.

PS. If anyone does have experience with resolving it at court please write your story :)

Absolutely roger... my point was whether a stronger community can be built, if somehow joint effort can be put in by us arbers to address this problem in a more effective way, or with better resources... it's the same for all of us over and over and over again. Some deal with it better, some worse, but it's painful to read that they took 15k, which surely take a lot time and effort to be earned, and it could be me, could be you or anyone of us. Nevermind...

Concerning resolving at court, I do believe we need to insist until we get some justice, and especially concerning limitations, not so much scam bookies that are rare cases (although they must pay too). So, for the moment I am participating in this movement going on in Spain against bet365 limiting accounts: http://www.muebete.org/

Apart from that, I am planning on going to court soon against some other bookies whose regular practice is to limit accounts and correct odds to whatever price they fell is OK, but for this purpose I need to join forces with some friends to be able to afford it. Working on it.

Just hope all of this does good, and not bad, to the community... never know

They did this to me, exactly a year a go, something around at 3,3k USD.
They just said I was linked with other accounts, but no evidence and further explaination given.
Contacted MGA and Gambling Commission, but both couldnt do anything as they dont have any sportsbetting license registered with them, they only are registered for the casino.
Sorry to hear this happened to you!

Well maybe try contact IBAS..SLC communicates with it...UK GC is not for resolving cases. SLC is member of IBAS. IBAS even wrote me normal letter on 3 papers with conclusions :)) But when they are closed now  its over.. maybe they have lost license.

A lesson that has to be learned here that most people should really know as a basic rule of thumb already, is not to keep high balances in betting accounts, especially ones with a shady past like Smart Live.

A poster on here has already said they've been stiffed out of £15k and that person said they were previously stiffed for £20k in another "shady bookie".

On that AskGamblers thread it says that multiple people are owed more than £30k each by Smart Live. The lesson here is that if you must play at this sort of site, most certainly reduce your exposure to way less than £15k-£30k+ and if you ever get to anywhere near that level of balance, make a large withdrawal immediately and reduce your exposure to a much more manageable and less risky level.

Well :) thats true..when i played there there was not single post about them at askgamblers nor anywhere else. But the thing is that in such bookies is when you make withdrawal you are done there. It's up to you. IF you will be playing there or not. I definitely thought at that time they will pay. UK licensed bookie, member of IBAS  and so. But i made about 35k till i was limited  there at that time so i do not complain that much. But of course now i just do not have guts to do this. I just stick to big boys.

Hi guys,

Do not know if a lot of users here used this bookmaker, but at AskGamblers you can send a PM to the user DogsHead with the amount they owe you.
He will compile a report and email along with the figures/sums we are all owed by this person objecting the dissolvency of Smart TV UK Limited and any future attempts to dissolve Smart TV Broadcasting Ltd and Smart Gaming Limited.

And still by all accounts the UK Gambling Commission doing absolutely bugger all about it. They are the biggest waste of space and money I've ever seen.
