How does one go about MANUALLY tracking odds for arbitrage opportunities?

Are there any shortcuts or strategies to make it more efficient?

It seems like it would take a lot of time and painstaking searching.

Being from the U.S., I don't have access to enough Books to make it worth my while to pay for a service.
