Can sportsbooks empty your account if you're found arbing across sites?

Wed Feb 15, 2017 10:19 am

I mostly hear about accounts found arbing getting limited or closed (im not sure if that entails withholding funds), but what about confiscating all funds? I mean, can it really be against the terms of service to arb across sites?

Like, I can obviously understand if you arb on one site using line movement, bonuses, or incorrect odds, because that could be considered an exploit that could cause them a guaranteed loss.

But if I'm placing the other side of my arbs on a completely unrelated sportsbook, can sportsbook #1 really tell me how I can and cant interact with other companies?

It seems like such conditions should be outside of their domain of restrictability.

Read more forum...

Even though you will get limited, as long as you are not multi accounting and have your documents in order they cannot confiscate your money. Assuming you are sticking with legitimate books of course. There are some dodgy bastard books who will freeze funds etc etc but a little homework before depositing can save you that hassle.

95%+ Sportsbook wont empty your account...  There a few bookies that deal in shady practises.
See Sportsbook review for a list.

But you should be cautious about using certain bookmakers that:
- make it almost impossible to arb out (by limiting everything)
- change their odds so fast, that its almost impossible to make a bet.
- make it almost impossible to withdrawal (by demanding alot of documentation)

That will take time to know which bookmakers are (1,2,3) and which bookmakers you can play with.

to answer your question, yes.
arbing can be against the rules of a bookie. and there are actually books that have this rule in their T&S.
now. to be tehnical about it..jsut cause a clause is stipulated in a contract it doesnt mean it has to be taken for granted..but this is another topic.

to avoid hustle and stress and possible financial loses, just avoid these books and u are fine.

Terms and conditions of pretty much all bookmakers are extremely draconian. The bottom line is if you are prepared to take an issue all the way to a court of law the decision will be ruled to favour the customer, at least that is the result for any case I have ever read about.
The 2 things you need to ensure are that you don't mess with completely criminal outfits that can't be held account in a court of law when they vanish with your balance. The other thing you need to ensure is that, should a scenario arise in which you may have to take action against a reputable book due to unlawful practices on their behalf, that you are confident you would be able to take such action and have the determination to see it through. The first thing can be a mistake you make if you are greedy, the second thing can be a mistake if you are unlucky or unprepared.
