Many people are opening their Skrill accounts in the wrong currency. That would be by mistake upon registration, or they want to change the currency afterwards when they find out this would save them fees. On some occasions, they are forced to switch from their local currency to EUR or USD simply because their bookmakers/casinos are only accepting these currencies. Some other players would prefer a strong currency instead of their national currency that constantly loses value. So the first piece of advice would be, to use EUR, USD or another strong currency that suits your business and activities straight from the very beginning, as a currency for your e-wallets like Skrill, Neteller and ecoPayz.

But let's see what are your options in case you want to switch to another currency. I am afraid Skrill is not easygoing in situations like this. This is valid today when I type these lines. You never know what the policies will be tomorrow or next year. Unfortunately, it is not an easy task to change the currency in your account. If you find yourself in this situation, the second piece of advice I can give you is to avoid acrobatics and dubious actions. By that, I simply mean to avoid cheating Skrill or any other e-wallet. What you should do, is contact Skrill directly and request to change the currency of your account. Most probably, Skrill will ask you to empty your account, by requesting a withdrawal to your personal bank account. Alternatively, you could buy things with the skrill MasterCard until your balance goes to 0, but please pay attention to the fact that Skrill will need your account to go down to 0.00 exactly. 0.01 or 0.02 would be an issue. When you empty the account contact again skrill and request your account to be permanently closed and let them know that you are about to start a new account in a new currency. Ask them if you can use the same email, or if you need to use a new one. This is important for their database. Keep all answers in your email because you never know what happens in the future. You might be accused of a double account, so you will need to prove that you follow the book.

I have a question, some time ago, i opened a skrill account in USD, but now I need to pay sth in EUR. But I dont find any option to change the currency and i dond want to pay any extra fee for the conversion. Could you help me?

To put it simply, you can't.
You have 2 options:
a. Ask Skrill to offer you a new account in another currency. In this case you cant be sure as Skrill prefers offering multiple currencies accounts to VIPs with significant volumes. Are you a VIP?
b. Close the current account and get back with a new one. In this case they might double check your data and delay everything but in the end they ll give you your account.

To avoid the adventures, you can always start a new account with Neteller or ecoPayz. Pretty much the same thing these days.
