Nice. Thanks.

Yes, it would be great to see a site like this with all the sports.

Just betting the other side of Pinny movement at a slower moving Book would be a good value bet.

There is a growing discussion about beating Pinnacle’s closing lines as a distinguishing criterion of winning players. At the same time, there is also another growing discussion about blocked odds and suspension of markets. You can read some more about suspended markets here: https://arbusers.com/index.php?topic=1927.0
It is a fact that a number of people are basing their strategies on Pinnacle’s dropping odds, so if you would like to have a picture of that, you might want to visit services like Oddsportal, Oddsdroping, and Betmonitor.

Pinnacle is not efficient anymore.

I have been struggling to make a profit on soft bookmakers on the past months, taking value bets based on Pinnie prices.

I made the same amount of money from June-December (6months) as February alone (last covid free month).

This can be also due to covid 19 , less markets, more void bets and postponed matches. This is the best time to lose money.

Its extremely rare I dont beat the closing line on Pinnacle.  Probably 9 out of 10 bets I make beat it, especially when I place most bets very near to the off, and every bet these days moves the line.

I remember when a £200 wouldnt move say a darts line, but now even a £30 does.  Maybe its because the limits are smaller or they have changed the software to be more responsive.

The only sure is that Pinnacle is not trustable at small markets, the line can move so easily.

At big games most of times have correct lines,at small markets simply do not trust Pinnalce, you may lose money.

Beating pinnacle's closing line is not a guarantee for winning in the long run. Instead, you should be focusing on taking the highest possible odds, because most of the times, the highest possible odds are higher than Pinnacle's closing line. And again, this is not universal because every market is unique and different from others in so many ways.

I use a betting value model based entirely on the Pinnacle odds dropout. This has been working perfectly for me for several years now.In itself, dropping the odds in Pinnacle is not a sufficient factor for taking a bet.Especially after the reduction of their maximum betting limits in a number of championships.Dropping an odds in Pinnacle is an indicator that makes me follow one or another game. The main criterion for determining a bet is the amount of money that is placed at a certain outcome in the game. There is no way to know the exact amount of bets accepted by Pinnacle, but according to the way in which the odds are dropped, we can understand whether the large percentage of bets accepted is at a certain outcome and whether there is an unbalanced market. We can do this by following the odds movement chart. In this way we can predict with great accuracy the future odds movement over time. Thus, we have before us the choice of whether to make value betting or to trade ods after their drop.Anyone who has a basic knowledge of stock trading knows how to do this and who are the key moments in the technical analysis of odds charts.

@leonbet, this is a great post and thank you for this. I have a comment:

There is no way to know the exact amount of bets accepted by Pinnacle, but according to the way in which the odds are dropped, we can understand whether the large percentage of bets accepted is at a certain outcome and whether there is an unbalanced market.

If the market is big, then you can have a very good idea of what is staked by simply taking a look at Betfair at the very same time. But if the market is small, then you can only assume that a game received a big number of bets, by having a look at Pinnacle dropping odds AND the alert services that cover the game.

I am wondering what are the results of your betting and if you have many ups and downs, something like value betting has.

Thank you Mr. X!For large markets, some models are used for technical analysis of market movements. For small markets, other models for technical analysis of market movements are applied. The concept is basically the same, but there are a few details that distinguish the two approaches. In both cases, however, there is no need to check the exchange. The reasons for this are as follows.First, the exchange check will take extra time, and as we know in the current dynamics of market movements of odds, time is the most valuable resource.Secondly, and more importantly, we are not looking for the total accumulation and monetary imbalance of the various outcomes of a given game.If we look only at an unbalanced market, this can give us a misconception about the lack or presence of value in an odds. This is because in most cases the unbalanced market is due to broad public opinion. And this opinion is not important for our purposes. We watch and are interested in smart money. That is a large amount of money placed by one or more players for a short period of time. This cannot be seen in the exchange. In fact, it can be seen through a detailed examination of the money received at each exit. But such a detailed review can take us from one to several minutes, and this is too long a period of time and then we are unlikely to find much value in any serious bookmaker. So in summary, technical analysis is sufficient for value betting purposes.Regarding my results, I am 12.5% yield in long run.A little over two years. The interesting thing in this case is that the big leagues and the big markets give much bigger profits than the small ones.Large markets give a yield of just over 18%, small markets give just under 7%.Also, the profit chart in the big leagues is much more stable than in the small ones.It is stable only upwards even on a weekly basis. In the small leagues there are sometimes declines of up to about 20% on a weekly basis, but for the whole period so far I have not had a negative or low-income month.

Thanks @leonbet for you words about this stategy.

My question to you is when is starting match? Do you take in consideration dropping odds for matches with kick-off in, let's say, one hour, or did you follow dropping odds with 2-3 days before kick-off?

Hello everyone,
Would you be so kind to explain me this odd movement (I have attached a pic).
Talking about a 10+% odd drop in pinnacle and then odd coming back. Why is this happening? Why is it going back to 3.20? Is that 2 max bets each side or just pinny doing some speculation?
Thank you very much!

Edit: I just bet such a selection in Pinnacle. Odd was 2.56, max bet 82 euro. After my bet the odd dropped to 2.55. Why the above example dropped so much?

I can see that pinnacle has cut its limits for some markets even on big leagues. 1st Half totals and team totals have 80eur limit which is ridiculous. I guess this cant be considered as a base for comaprison for value betting. Are you guys using some other bookie for a base? Im betting in bet365 and comapring with Pinnacle, but I see this is not working anymore. Help will be highly appreciated.
