Here is my experience with topsport. I wanted to give them a try because I couldn't find any bad news about them here or elsewhere, they seem to be relatively safe. I opened an account two or three days ago and had to do a video legitimation which after several attempts finally worked this morning. Next step was to deposit a low three digit amount via skrill. I did not opt in for their bonus as I am not quite sure whether I would be able to fulfill the turnover requirements in time. So after this, I wanted to bet on two different French Ligue 1 matches, nothing exotic - just 1X2 for 100 EUR. Message was in each case: I can stake only EUR 1 (!!!!). Contacted the online chat support and asked them what the problem is. They told me it is a management decision and will not be overturned. My limits are 1 EUR.

I have seen these things happen in the past with various bookies, but only after having placed several bets - but I did not place a single bet with them and already have a restricted account.

I immediately requested a withdrawal which costs me 1 %. This is my loss if they give me back my money. Let's see whether they will do it or find any excuses for not paying it back. I will post the results here.

So to summarize my experience with topsport: a complete waste of time and money.

What I really would like to know what they have done with my data. How on earth can they know in advance what I am going to do? Does anybody have an idea how they came to the decision to restrict me BEFORE I even placed a single bet?

Thank you for the report tomtom70. Keep us informed about the payment.
It would be good to know where you come from, because maybe they don't like foreigners and they want to target Lithuania. We ve seen this in the past when bookmakers claim that they welcome all traffic but in reality they welcome only home country.

We're very sorry to hear you got limited even before you placed a bet!  We'll closely monitor this and investigate further. But it's likely that Topsport only focuses on the local market, even if they claim they allow customers from other countries.

Update on my case: today they sent my money back. So my loss is essentially 1 % of my deposit and the time I have spent. To answer the question, my country is Austria. So yes, they might restrict some countries but I would rather assume they have some kind of database where I am marked as a winning customer (which I am, of course  ;D ). I will try to find this out, how they have done it. If this turns out to be true I will post the results here or in a new thread.

PS: They suggested I could play in the casino where I don't have limits. How ridicolous....
